A talented fan of bothStar WarsandThe Legend of Zeldahas remade over a dozen of the sci-fi series' vehicles and droids withinTears of the Kingdom. Even thoughTears of the Kingdomplayers have been busy creating everything they can imagine over the last two years, these builds have stood out and gained a lot of appreciation from the community.
Tears of the Kingdombuilt upon the freedomBreath of the Wildgave players, adding a variety of new abilities for Link to use. Among these is the fuse system, which lets the player attach weapons, shields, and other items to each other. This can be done to make a weapon or shield stronger, give it special abilities, or players can go completely wild with it and create whatever they desire.
While there have been plenty of builds and vehicles made inTears of the Kingdomover the two years since its release, theseStar Warscreations by Reddit user domo0202 are remarkable. In a short video, domo0202 showcases all theStar Warsreproductions they’ve made, which include droids, vehicles, and ships.Star Warsfans can spot some of their favorites spanning the entire franchise, including the prequels, sequels, and original trilogy. The fan also edited the video withJohn Williams' legendary soundtrackand sound effects from the films, including little details like BB-8 making worried sounds as it topples off a cliffside.
Star Wars Tears of the Kingdom Builds Give Nods to the Originals
Even with the limitations of items to work with inTears of the Kingdom, the detail work going into the builds is remarkable. The OP demonstrates things like the Imperial Lambda unfolding its wings into the triangular formation as it takes off, and films an underside shot of a Star Destroyer similar to the first scene one appears in during the original trilogy’s opening moment. Even the moments of seeing pod racers crash and burn in the prequel trilogy is recreated, with one of the often-bullied Koroks"piloting" one.
As one might expect, fans in the comments have showered domo0202 with compliments, applauding the individual recreations. Plenty shared silly jokes about the two franchises, like saying theMillennium Falconseen here “did the Kakariko Run in less than 12 parsecs.” Others praisedTears of the Kingdom’s fusion system in general, saying that it shouldn’t be limited to a single game. Given that fans haven’t stopped figuring out ways to create new and impressive things inToTK, it would certainly be interesting to see how much further fans could go if Nintendo included retooled fusing in a futureZeldagame.
