Call of Dutyrevealed another part of its ongoing collaboration withBeavis and Butt-Head, as a new Xbox Wireless Controller was designed around the ongoing crossover. Following a social media contest that has since concluded,Call of Dutysaid that three winners will be drawn in the coming days, each receiving a customBeavis and Butt-HeadXbox controller.
In late June,Beavis and Butt-Headwere revealed as thenewest franchise to cross over withCall of Duty: WarzoneandBlack Ops 6as part of a mid-season update. Originally released in 1993 as an MTV sitcom created by Mike Judge, the titular Beavis and Butt-Head are teenage boys who go on misadventures in their hometown and watch music videos while offering their commentary on ones they enjoy. Years after the initial run ofBeavis and Butt-Headconcluded, a revival was launched on Paramount+ in 2022. TheBeavis and Butt-Headrelaunch was favorably received by fans, and the show’s 11th overall season will air on Comedy Central later in 2025.
Along withtheBeavis and Butt-HeadEvent Pass rewardsthatCall of Dutyplayers can earn until July 31, a few lucky players on social media may have something else headed their way.Call of Dutyhosted a social media contest on Twitter for a customized Xbox Wireless Controller with the logos of bothCall of DutyandBeavis and Butt-Headin the center. The contest started on July 7 at 1:00 PM Eastern and concluded on July 8 at 3:00 PM Eastern. Entries were taken by followingCall of Dutyon Twitter and commenting with “@callofduty #CODxBBSweepstakes” while the giveaway was live. The Xbox Wireless Controller featured during the contest had a light blue case with white bumpers, black thumbsticks, and standard colored face buttons. TheBeavis and Butt-Headlogo overlapped with the View and Menu buttons, and theCall of Dutylogo was placed beneath the D-Pad and Right Stick.
According tothe contest rules posted by Activision, three winners will be drawn within 60 days of the sweepstakes' conclusion. The winners will then be contacted on Twitter or via email for further information. EachBeavis and Butt-HeadXbox controller is valued at approximately $1,500, with all thefeatures of a standard Xbox Wireless Controller, save for the customized appearance.
WhileBeavis and Butt-Headare among the wackiestCall of Dutycrossoversso far, the ongoing event has not diminished the popularity of both franchises involved. It remains to be seen if Activision has other surprises in store throughout 2025.
