Xbox Game Passmembers have three new titles to start playing today, includingRoboCop: Rogue CityandMy Friendly Neighborhood. The latter is only available on the PC and Ultimate tiers, while the former can also be played viaXbox Game Pass Standard.
BothMy Friendly NeighborhoodandRoboCop: Rogue Citywere originally released in 2023—specifically in July and November, respectively. While they share a first-person perspective, they offer fundamentally different experiences:Rogue Cityis a fairly traditionalshooter with RPG elements, whereasMy Friendly Neighborhoodis a survival horror game with puzzle-solving and an eerie setting full of unsettling puppets.
Both titles wereadded to the Xbox Game Pass library on July 17. While the PC version ofMy Friendly Neighborhoodrecently celebrated its second anniversary, its console ports are brand-new, meaning it qualifies as a day-one release that is hence unavailable on XGP Standard, at least for the time being. Meanwhile,RoboCop: Rogue Citycan be played via any non-Core tier of the service. Additionally, a Game Preview version of Hooded Horse’s rogueliteHe is Comingwas shadow-dropped on PC Game Pass on July 17.

Day-one release.
RoboCop: Rogue Cityis likely to appeal to fans ofCyberpunk 2077and tech-noir in general. That’s not just on account of its gritty dystopian atmosphere, but also thanks to its mixture of brutal combat, investigation segments, and RPG elements reminiscent of CD Projekt Red’s modern titles. The game’s writing carries deeply satirical undertones, staying true to the source material. UnlikeCyberpunk 2077, however,Rogue Cityis fundamentally an action-driven experience rather than offering players a choice between brute force and stealth. After all, sneaking around as a 6.6" hunk of metal doesn’t really sound feasible.
This Xbox Game Pass arrival coincides with therelease ofRoboCop: Rogue City - Unfinished Business, a standalone expansion promising another eight to ten hours of content. The timing appears deliberate, as publishers often leverage Microsoft’s subscription service to boost interest in related releases.
Looking ahead, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is set to receiveBack to the DawnandAbiotic Factoron July 18 and July 22, respectively.Wheel Worldis then scheduled to arrive on the 23rd, followed byWuchang: Fallen Feathersa day later.
