Xbox Game Passis, arguably, the best it’s ever been. In the last six months,Xbox Game Passhas addedBlue Prince,Clair Obscur: Expedition 33,Avowed,South of Midnight, andElder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered. Two of these games are some of the highest-rated of the entire year, and all have been day one launches for the subscription service. That’s not even mentioning the wealth of excellent indies and third-party games that have also been added this year.
The pressure keeps building for Xbox Game Pass to continue to surpass itself month after month, andGame Pass' July 2025 line-uphas a lot to prove. There are some great games already confirmed for the roster next month, but Game Pass could certainly benefit from a few big-name additions this July.

Widely regarded as some of the best games ever made,Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1collects the first three games inHideo Kojima’sMetal Gear Solidseries, as well as the twoMetal Geartitles that preceded them. These games remain exceptionally relevant even decades after their original release, and it would be great to see them on Xbox Game Pass.
Even just the standalone release ofMetal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eaterwould be great to see on Game Pass next month, as it would allow both new and returning fans to replay the original ahead of the upcomingMetal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eaterremake in August.

Xbox Game Pass is home to an impressive assortment of co-op games, both local and online, and it’s always looking for new titles to join the ranks.Killing Floor 3is set to release on July 24, and while no Xbox Game Pass plans have been announced, it would be great to see the4-player co-op horror shooterjoin the service.
It’s been almost a decade since the lastKilling Floormainline entry, so fans can expect to see some sizable upgrades this time around, including Unreal Engine 5-powered graphics, an even more intricate gore system, and full crossplay support, to name just a few.

The hype surroundingTales of the Shirehas routinely waxed and waned since its announcement over a year ago, with pre-release previews and delays hampering players' excitement. ButTales of the Shireis finally on the home stretch, with it set to release on July 29.
Touting itself as the ultimatecozy Hobbit life-sim,Tales of the Shirewill see players gardening, harvesting, socializing, and cooking alongside their Bywater neighbors. A day-one release on Xbox Game Pass could giveTales of the Shirea strong following off the bat.

ButNinja Gaidenhas one more project out this year.
Set to release on July 29,Ninja Gaiden: Rageboundis a throwback side-scrolling action game being developed byBlasphemousstudio The Game Kitchen. Most pre-release previews have been glowing about this game, and it would undoubtedly be a strong asset for Xbox Game Pass to have next month.
