Against the Stormis a dark fantasy roguelite city builderthat originally launched in December 2023 and received praise across the board. It is currently sitting at a 91 critic score on OpenCritic and an overall Overwhelmingly Positive review rating on Steam. Though it has a somewhat steep learning curve, many fans of the genre find the effort well worth it, asAgainst the Stormoffers an addictive gameplay loop, a steady progression system, fun challenges, and of course base-building, all packaged in a charming setting.
The enhanced versions ofWarcraft: Orcs & HumansandWarcraft 2: Tides of Darknesswere both released in November 2024. The remastered version of the third gamecame out in January 2020, and though it was embroiled in some controversy upon release, many thought thatre-launchingWarcraft 3: Reforgedon Xbox Game Passwould be a good way to breathe new life into the poorly regarded game. People who perhaps didn’t buy it upon release due to the negative reviews might be willing to give it a chance if it is offered through the subscription service. And in the time since launch, Blizzard has continued to patch and updateWarcraft 3: Reforged, with the latest build dating to April 2025.
