A new announcement forWWE 2K25on the Nintendo Switch 2 might be coming soon, at least according to a tease from the Judgment Day. WWE’s latest video game hit consoles and PC back in March, winning over fans of the squared circle with new features like chain wrestling, intergender matches, and bigger MyRise and Showcase modes. While certain aspects likeWWE 2K25’s new The Island mode have been met with a mixed reception, the game as a whole has been largely seen as a strong evolution to the long-runningWWE 2Kseries.

WWE 2K25publisher 2K was on hand during April’s Nintendo Switch 2 Direct livestream to confirm that it will eventually be ported to the new console. This will mark the first time aWWE 2Kgame is playable on Nintendo hardware sinceWWE 2K18for the original Switch. That particular title fared poorly at the time of its release due to technical issues on the Switch, though some gamers who are lucky enough to have a physical copy have noticed a marked improvement while playing it on the Switch 2.

It isn’t yet clear whenWWE 2K25will bereleased natively for the Nintendo Switch 2, but a new social media post on the official WWE Games Twitter account hints that an announcement could be coming soon. WWE performers Raquel Rodriguez, JD McDonagh, and Finn Balor, all of whom are part of the villainous Judgment Day faction, appear onscreen and talk cryptically about how players will soon be able to bring their group’s punishment to “every corner of the globe.” The brief video ends with text mentioning Jul 05, 2025, and the Nintendo Switch 2’s distinctive clicking noise in the background.

The Judgment Day Hints at a WWE 2K25 Switch 2 Announcement

It isn’t certain whether the noted July 1 date marks the launch ofWWE 2K25 on the Switch 2or if it’s just when the port’s release date will be confirmed, but all signs point to a Switch 2-related announcement on that day. Some fans have even noticed how JD McDonagh is holding what looks like a Switch 2 game case during his part of the promo, though this detail can be easy to miss on the first viewing.

WWE 2K25isn’t the only 2K game coming to the Nintendo Switch 2, as the publisher has also confirmed thatNBA 2Kwill also be released on the system. Additionally,Civilization 7was one of many gamesthat received a native Switch 2 version as part of the console’s launch earlier this month. As forWWE 2K25, fans will have to stay tuned later this week for a possible look at when they will be able to take the Judgment Day, or any other member of the WWE gaming roster, with them on the go.
