Wuthering Waveshas confirmed the full character banner lineup for Version 2.5, which is set to arrive in late July. The update will be heavily centered around Phrolova, one of the most popular characters inWuthering Waves.
Earlier in June,Wuthering Wavesrevealed Phrolova’s playabilityfor its upcoming 2.5 patch, confirming her rarity and attribute. She is a 5-star Havoc Resonator that wields a Rectifier as a weapon. Players first met Phrolova in-game during the 1.0 Huanglong cycle, and although her scenes were brief, she quickly became a fan-favorite character. Fortunately for players, it won’t be long before they can add Phrolova to their roster, asWuthering Waves' next patch will feature her banner debut.
DuringWuthering Waves' latest special livestream, developer Kuro Games revealed the full banners for Version 2.5. The first phase will include Phrolova’s first banner and rerun Roccia. They will be joined by 4-star units Taoqi, Lumi, and Yuanwu. The update’s second half will rerun Brant and Cantarella, along with the 4-stars Danjin, Yangyang, and Mortefi.Wuthering Wavesalso shared a ton of content coming in the patch, including leisure and puzzle events, as well as a photography event. The Dreaming Deep film event will also make a comeback with two new theaters. Additionally, Version 2.5 will add a new type of quest called “Overture,” which consists of decision-making and exploring the game’s lore. The first edition will dive into Augusta’s background, setting the stage for the next main storyline.
Phase 2
Events
Since Version 2.0, Phrolova has played a key role in the Rinascita storyline as an antagonist, but players have yet to learn the reasons behind her actions.Wuthering Waveshas confirmed that Version 2.5 will answer many questions about the character in the Chapter 2: Act 7 main quest. The developers revealed some details about her gameplay as well. Phrolova’s abilities can summon Hecate to assist her in battle. After unleashing her Resonance Liberation and switching to another character, both Hecate and Phrolova become invulnerable. The hype for Phrolova’s playable debut has been high, but whether she can become one ofWuthering Waves' strongest unitsremains to be seen.
Wuthering WavesVersion 2.5, titled “Unfading Melody of Life,” will launch on July 24. The patch will introduce new enemies, Echoes, and a new map area with underwater mechanics. Phrolova is the first ofsix upcomingWuthering Wavescharacterscoming in later updates. In the meantime, players can still pull for the 5-star unit Lupa.
