World of Warcraftis bringing back the Greedy Emissary event, but between new rewards, Treasure Goblin affixes, Portal Storms, and the Collector’s Bounty buff, the activity is going to be a fair bit more robust than last time. Fans can enjoy thisDiablo-themed event inWorld of Warcraftfrom July 1 to July 29.

TheGreedy Emissary is aDiablocrossover event inWoWwhere players can hunt down Treasure Goblins to earn unique rewards inspired by the world of Sanctuary. Its first run took place in May and June 2023 to celebrate the launch ofDiablo 4, though the event itself was an iteration of theDiablo20th anniversary celebration that took place in January 2017, where Treasure Goblins appeared inWorld of Warcraftfor the first time.

World of Warcraft The War Within

Now, theGreedy Emissary is returning toWorld of Warcraftwith some pretty big changes. Starting July 1, Treasure Goblins will spawn at the top of every hour in Orgrimmar, Stormwind, and Dornogal, similarly to the last event. However, Treasure Goblins can also spawn in Undermine through a different method: defeating rares in Undermine, or a boss in the Liberation of Undermine raid, has a chance to summon a Treasure Goblin portal. What’s more, at 15 minutes past each hour, a Portal Storm can spawn in Undermine, opening five extra Treasure Goblin portals to hunt and loot.

Were that not enough, Treasure Goblins now haveDiablo 4-themed affixes to make them a little more difficult. During the five-minute period when the Treasure Goblin is summoned, fans can toss special Elixirs in the portals to add more affixes and spawn additional Treasure Goblins, increasing the challenge and rewards available.
