WoW Patch 11.2 Prequel Novella – “The Doom of K’aresh”

“The Doom of K’aresh” is divided into three chapters: “The Voice from the Void,” “The Devouring War,” and “Ethereum.” In the first chapter, Locus-Walker spins a tale of an unbroken K’aresh, and the first time the World Soul called out to him, while the second chapter covers the approach of Dimensius, and the doomed struggle to save the world. The final section features Locus-Walker’s deliberate obfuscation of how the Ethereals became beings of energy, and shows the dark rise of Nexus-King Salhadaar and the Ethereum. Plenty of characters, both new and old, appear in the story, including Ky’veza, a raid boss from Nerub-ar Palace who serves as the nemesis forDelves inWoW: The War WithinSeason 3.

This story is the fourth and ostensibly final tale thatwill appear inWorld of Warcraft: Crossroads, a new anthology releasing on November 11. “The Doom of K’aresh” will be printed in this book alongside Thrall and Jaina’s “Heartlands,” Faerin’s “Faith & Flame,” and “The Tipping Point,” featuring Renzik “The Shiv.”
