TheWWE 2Kfranchise’s Showcases serve as a time capsule for memorable matches from various PPVs in different decades. InWWE 2K25, the Bloodline Dynasty Showcase lets fans play through 17 matches featuring different members of The Bloodline, including the likes of The Usos, Roman Reigns, and The Rock. The games have only scratched the surface of WWE’s library of iconic matches, giving future titles more content to work with down the line.

Almost five years ago,WWE 2K20immortalized 2018’sWWE EvolutionPPVwith “The Women’s Evolution” Showcase. The PPV was an all-women’s show that put the spotlight on current and legendary superstars fromRaw,SmackDown, andNXT. Unfortunately, WWE didn’t makeEvolutionan annual event, so fans of the company’s shows and games were deprived of the experience for a long time. After nearly seven years,WWE Evolutionis finally coming back on July 13, and developer Visual Concepts has a great opportunity to capitalize on the PPV if it does well.

Similar to the very firstWWE Evolution, the second edition will also feature old and new female superstars, opening up the opportunity for cool interactions during matches and the development of possible storylines in the future. Some of its biggest matches are the triple threat match between Becky Lynch, Bayley, and Lyra Valkyria for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship; Tiffany Stratton versus Trish Stratus for the WWE Women’s Championship; and a women’s battle royale for a chance to get a world championship match atClash in Parisin August. Overall, the matches seem like they’re going to be an exciting display duringEvolution, which would be something thatWWE 2K25could have featured in Showcase modeif it took place sooner.

WWE Evolution 2025 Match List

Although it took nearly seven years before the secondWWE Evolutioncould happen, many are looking forward to seeing the women of WWE and NXT get their flowers at the event. There are also a number of superstars who are rumored to be showing up at the event, such as Paige and AJ Lee. All eyes are onEvolutionto hit it out of the park because it’s not every day that WWE hosts an all-women’s show, and the hope is to actually make this a yearly tradition. Likewise,WWE 2K26could also bring back the Women’s Evolution Showcase, especially now with new faces on the roster and rivalries that it can capitalize on for a compelling gameplay experience. This could also be a great opportunity to put the spotlight on the new WWE and NXTwomen’s titles thatWWE 2K25missed out on, and considering that Showcase often features championship matches, the timing is definitely apt.

Apart from championships, having a Women’s Evolution Showcase is also about reliving the iconic moments during the event. For example, Jade Cargill and Naomi’s No Holds Barred match could bring the drama and shock factor thatWWE 2Kfans could enjoy playing back. What adds to the immersion is thatWWE 2K25made it possible for women wrestlers to bleedand amass bruises for the first time, so a hardcore women’s match could bode well in a future Showcase match.

IfWWE 2K26isn’t able to do a dedicated Showcase likeWWE 2K20did, there’s still merit in including some of the matches in the lineup in some way. The current WWE and NXT rosters right now are stacked with incredible talent, with many still not playable inWWE 2K25yet, and they deserve their time in the sun, even in video game format. If the secondEvolutionturns out to be a success once again, then all eyes would go on Visual Concepts to replicate the event’s glory for the fans. In the meantime, fans can playcustomWWE 2K25matchesto replayEvolutionthemselves.
