Diablo 4Season 9: Sins of the Horadrim introduces unique spells that can be heavily customized by the player to make them fit any playstyle. It’s fairly easy to unlock the actual spells and their elemental modifiers, but the real customization for these spells comes from the Arcana modifiers.
Arcanas come in various rarities, and you can equip three of them at once onto your spells in any combination you want. Arcanas are arguably the hardest things to come by in the new season, and you’ll be farming them a lot as the exact ones you get are randomized. Here’s how to get Horadric Arcanas.
Where to Get Horadric Arcanas in Diablo 4
Horadric Arcanas arepotential loot rewards whencompleting Horadric Strongrooms. That being said, across the board, they seem to have avery low drop rate, so it won’t be something you may easily farm, and it will take a long time to get all of them available in the season. As you increase the difficulty of the Strongroom, your odds of getting one also increase, although only slightly.
Your odds of getting one will also increase as you get higher rank rewards when clearing the Strongroom. The best method for trying to get Arcanas is to first worry about strengthening your character and getting them to a higher level. You’ll need to reach high ranks on a high difficulty for even a small chance of an Arcana, and there isn’t much more you can do to help your odds. You can easily get access toall the spellsand infusors through the seasonal questline, laying the foundations for your spells and also helping you level up fast.
It’s normal not to find your first Arcana untilat least level 50, and even then, there’s only a chance.
How to Get a High Rank in Horadric Strongrooms
Aside from leveling up andhaving a strong character, getting a high rank in the Strongroom is heavily reliant on how you play. Modifiers are randomized, so they aren’t an element you may rely on, but you can rely on the general layout of the Strongroom. You’ll want toprioritize densely packed enemies and use AOE attacks. Focus on moving quickly and even dodging through smaller groups to reach the Shrines located throughout the Strongroom.
Shrines not only give an additional modifier or buff, but they also have large groups of enemies surrounding them. While larger enemies give the most attunement, you should focus on clearing groups of weaker enemies andrunning from stronger enemies you can’t defeat in just a few seconds, as standing still for too long will stall out your chances of ranking high.
Pick modifiers that highlight your play style and won’t hold you back, with Swiftness modifiers always being a safe bet if nothing else sounds good.
