One Pal you don’t want to miss out on as part ofPalworld’s Tides of Terraria update is Frostplume. Here’s where to find these elegant birds and how best to use them for your base operations or otherwise.
Where to Find Frostplume in Palworld
Frostplume, which is anIce-elemental bird Pal, is one of the many new Pal additions in the game’sTides of Terraria(v0.6.0) update. You can find them onFrostbitten Isle, which is a small, icy island far south of the Sea Breeze Archipelago. This is the only place on the entire world map where they spawn, during both Day and Night. The closestFast Travel PointisSeabreeze Archipelago - Castaway Beachon the southern coast.
From there, use your best flying or swimming Pal to make the journey down to Frostbitten Isle. Considering the distance,a swimming Pal may be best, as you don’t have to worry about stamina drain. Make sure to unlock the Fast Travel Point there as soon as you arrive to make the trek easier in the future.
There are no human enemies to worry about here, so feel free to land anywhere. The Pals here average aroundLevel 10-20, so there’s not too much of a challenge to contend with.Pal spheres, includingMega Spheres and Giga Spheres, should work just fine, along with any baseline weapons you have.
However, if you’re high-level with powerful weapons in your arsenal,be careful not to overpower the Pals hereand one-shot them before you can capture them. Consider bringing a lower-tier weapon or even simply using your pickaxe or woodcutting axe as a stand-in (hey, it works).
Frostplumes are usually found in pairs here alongside other Pals such as Icelyn, Jelliette, and Munchill. There are also fishing spots to take advantage of.
Frostplume Stats and Uses in Palworld
As mentioned earlier,Frostplume is an Ice-elemental Pal. This gives them a more nichework suitabilitycompared to other Pals. They’rebest used for Cooling tasks, namely refrigeration for food storage. They can also be used for Gathering tasks, but at Level 1, they’re not necessarily the most efficient in that role. Of course, you can always get into breeding them for better traits, or use aPal Essence Condenserto improve their rank and enhance their Partner Skill.
Frostplume is probably better used for battle, as they pack a decent punch with their Ice-elemental attacks. Their Partner Skill, Peacock Pounce, increases your reload speedwhile you fight together with them, which is certainly a formidable perk to have on hand.
Remember thatIce-type Pals are best against Dragon-typesand weakest against Fire-types, so be mindful of where and when you pull them out in a fight.
