Here’s what to know about Gloopie’s location inPalworld, capture tips, and uses.
Where to Find Gloopie in Palworld
To find Gloopie inPalworld, during daytime hours, you’ll need to head to theIsle of Decayed Treasures, a Shipwreck Island locatedsoutheast of the Eastern Wild Island, as pictured above. Once there, you won’t need to travel far to track down a Gloopie, which you’re able to typically find roaming around insmall gangs along the coast or floating around solo.
It also doesn’t matter what time of day you begin the hunt, as you can find Gloopieduring the day or at night. However, you can also find Gloopie more widely across the map at night when its habitat’s scope stretches further on the map, includingaround the coast not far from Fisherman’s Point— and further inland across and north of the volcanic area southwest of the map.
How to Catch Gloopie in Palworld
To catch a Gloopie inPalworld, it’s best to bring along severalstandard Pal orMega Spheresto capture one after wearing down its health. You may be able to catch one with a standard Pal Sphere, but a Mega Sphere can also do the trick. AsGloopies tend to hang out in groups, it’s also best to try to isolate one from the pack to avoid an all-out battle. You could try picking off one of the stragglers at the back of the line and focus your efforts on capturing it, but you’ll probably find one soon wanders off by itself anyway.
Although Gloopies won’t attack you on sight like other Pals and tend to change direction, don’t be fooled by their passive nature. Gloopies possess a nastyShadow Burst attack that damages and blinds youand awater ball attack called Hydro Jet, so you’ll want to try to avoid those as much as possible. Gloopies can alsovary in level, with the ones around the Isle of Decayed Treasures typically being around levels 10-20.
Low-level weapons like basic bows and arrows won’t do much damage against Gloopie. If you don’t have anyhigh-damage weaponson hand, you could also try weakening Gloopie from the air using aflying mount, such as usingNitewing’s Air Cannonsfollowed by a Pal or Mega Sphere to capture it. Just be careful to avoid using Tornado Attack, which can take poor Gloopie out in one hit. When defeated, Gloopies may dropPal FluidsorGloopie Tentacles.
When exploring the Isle of Decayed Treasures, it’s also best to watch out for groups of aggressiveTurtaclesthat can soon start pummeling you with projectiles. If you want to avoid them, try returning at night when most of them should be asleep, letting you focus on finding and catching Gloopies around the island.

As a Dark andWater-type Pal, Gloopies can work at your base of operations, doingwatering taskslike watering crops and usingwater-powered structureslike the Mill, plus generaltransportationandhandiwork tasks(all at level 2).
