InZOIplayers have reason to celebrate as the first full DLC reveal is just around the corner. The new world of Cahaya will get itsfull reveal on August 19 at Gamescomon opening night with a trailer for the DLC. Cahaya was recently announced to be on track for a full release in August, putting its release date anytime after the full reveal in the latter half of the month.

Cahaya has been eagerly anticipated by many players as the world will bring many new features alongside it. Krafton hasn’t given much away, with only a few low-res images and videos of the new world, but it has given an idea of what new features players can expect. Inspired by island cities in Southeast Asia, Cahaya will include many activities that these real-life communities engage in, and give players an entirely new way to experienceInZOI.

The Tropical Paradise of Cahaya

Zois will be able to live in a tropical paradise on Cahaya. The world is purportedly comprised of two islands, with one being a residential island intended for locals, while the other is for Zois on vacation. Each island has a different purpose and tone, and Zois will only be able to live and work on the residential island.

The residential island will include a range of new activities, including farming and fishing, which Zois will be able to engage in as a means of income as normalcorporate jobs will not be available in Cahaya. Zois who engage in farming and fishing will be able to sell their produce at a market stand. There will also not be any schools on Cahaya, which puts a question mark over what young Zois will be doing. However, subsistence farming may open doors for deeper rags-to-riches gameplay, a popular approach among some life gamers.

Cahaya vs Other Life Sim Islands

The resort island has been specifically set aside for Zois on vacation, implying that Zois from other worlds will be able to visit. Vacations are a staple in life sim games, and a destination like Cahaya is perfect for those who want to go to the beach. Other life sim games include tropical worlds, like TheSims 4’s Sulani.Cahaya and Sulanidiffer from each other in that Cahaya is based on the islands of Indonesia, while Sulani is based on the culture of Pacific Islanders. Cahaya also has more emphasis on subsistence lifestyles and vacations, while Sulani focused on community and environmentalism.

New Features Added to InZOI

Alongside the new world comes new gameplay. Cahaya will include all new gameplay options that align with its lifestyle. Zois in Cahaya will be able to own boats and use them to travel between the two main islands, as well as explore nearby uninhabited islands.

Swimming is a feature that players have wanted sinceInZOI’s launch in early access, and it will finally arrive with Cahaya. Players will be able to swim in pools and the ocean across the Zoi world, including thecities of Dowon and Bliss Bay.

August’s DLC Will Bring Other Improvements

Cahaya was designed as a vacation world to escape the bustle of corporate life, and so jobs will not be included or improved inInZOI’s August DLC. Job improvements inInZOIare on their way, but will only be after Cahaya’s implementation. However, players can look forward toimprovements to Zoi emotions and interactions, which will be made more natural in the update thanks to the results of a players survey, where players expressed they most wanted Zoi simulation content and improvements to emotions and relationships.
