There are a lot of useful effects and mechanics inWuchang: Fallen Feathers, and if you plan on using a build that leans heavily toward spellcasting, then Alacrity is one effect that you’ll want to take advantage of.
Wuchang: Fallen Feathersis not an easy game. Alacrity can make enemy encounters less punishing for spellcasters, but in order to make the most out of it, you’ll need to know how it works and how you may make proper builds around it. Here’s what Alacrity does, along with a few things that you’ll want to know about it.
How Does Alacrity Work in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers?
Alacrity is a tag that’s mainly meant for spells. If you cast a spell that has the Alacrity tag on it,you will automatically dodge any incoming attack while casting your spell. One of the earliest spells players can get that has the Alacrity tag is Burning Flames, which can be found in Doomwillow Beach.
Normally, all Alacrity does is provide you with that short invulnerability window where you can be a bit more reckless when it comes to spellcasting. However, there’s a skill on the left side of the Impetus Repository that’s also called Alacrity, and what it does is make you recover Skyward Might whenever you trigger the Alacrity effect on a spell that has it.
Getting the Alacrity passive skill is going to be very important forspellcasters inWuchang: Fallen Feathers, and thankfully, you won’t need to invest much skill points into the Impetus Repository in order to get it. Still, keep in mind that you need a spell that has the Alacrity tag in order to use the Alacrity passive skill.
Build Suggestions
Buildcrafting is a stapleinSoulslikegames, and if you want to go down the spellcaster route, we strongly suggest using a one-handed sword. This is mainly because the one-handed sword skill tree in the Impetus Repository has plenty of Magic and Feathering nodes that are accessible much earlier on. The other weapon trees do have Feathering and Magic nodes, but they’re usually found later on in their branches.
More importantly, the one-handed sword tree hasthe Biding Time skill, which lets you generate Skyward Might passively. To make things even better, this weapon class has a skill that lets you get Skyward Might on the final hit of its basic attack combo — you can easily reach this without performing your full combo by performing a dash attack followed up by another light attack.
There’s also theDarkfrost Edge sword, which is found very early onin the Lightzen Temple area. This sword has a unique weapon skill that also functions very similarly to Alacrity. Use this in conjunction with your spells to get a build that’s very elusive and yet still capable of dealing out massive damage through might and magic.
