How Does the Postgame of Death Stranding 2 Work?
Without venturing into major spoilers about the final acts ofDeath Stranding 2, players can expect a conclusion worthy of the journey so far: the characters travel to The Beach to defeat Higgs once and for all.After a lengthy sequence of cutscenesand several encounters with the final villain and some scenes not related to Higgs, the credits roll.
While not every question gets answered, many mysteries resolve in these last moments, especially regarding Tomorrow’s true identity andthe fate of several charactersafter the story concludes. For those invested in the narrative, the ending ties the adventure together while still leaving room for a possible sequel.
Once the credits finish,Sam returns to DHV Magellanand Episode 17, “One Day,” begins. Although it appears like any other chapter, it carriesno explicit objectivesand effectively functions as the game’s postgame. Players no longer need to worry about priority orders or similar tasks.

Players who want to emphasize explorationwithout loading Sam’s inventory with weapons should keep the Drawbridge Q-Pid On. This choice lets them enjoy the world’s stunning views without additional threats, making endgame travel more satisfying.
New Items for the Postgame of Death Stranding 2
After finishing the main campaign ofDeath Stranding 2,players are rewarded with a few new items for Samto use while exploring the map during the game’s postgame. Unfortunately, these itemsdon’t add anything particularly significant to the gameplay. There are no exclusive tools or gear for this stage, so they serve more as cosmetic additions for Sam.

In addition to these items, players will also notice that most of the characters who were part of the DHV Magellan’s population are no longer present after completingDeath Stranding 2, largely due to story-related reasons. However, even though they are absent, the ship continues to operate normally, still allowing players to use features like Fast Travel.
