The wait for Netflix’sWednesdayseason 2 has been torturous for fans, but thankfully, with only a few more weeks to go for Part 1, the time has almost arrived to head back to Nevermore Academy. In a bid to keep its audience firmly glued to their seats in anticipation, season 2 dropped a new exciting trailer, which showed off Jenna Ortega’s return as the titularWednesdayAddams in a black dress at a masquerade while hinting at a new dance for the character that could blow last season’s out of the water.
Starring Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia, Luis Guzmán as Gomez, and Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley, season 2 will fling open its doors to welcome new cast members, and one star in particular has fans very excited to see.Lady Gaga will join the serieswhen it returns and will take on the role of a “mysterious and enigmatic” character called Rosaline Rotwood, who is a teacher at Nevermore Academy. Netflix hasn’t, so far, revealed much about Rotwood’s backstory or her arc in season 2 other than she will play a part in Wednesday’s life, buttheBad Romancesinger did recently share a pretty cool teaserwhile putting on a concert performance at Copacabana Beach in Rio, where a prop of the severed hand known as Thing made an appearance. Now, as fans count down the days and weeks until the show’s August release, a new Wednesday viral dance scene could be on the cards.
Another Viral Dance Scene Could Be on the Way for Wednesday Season 2
In abrand-new video from Netflix, fans have been treated to anotherWednesdayseason 2 trailer, and it looks just as exciting as the previous trailer. Nevermore Academy will be hosting another annual dance, but instead of a return to season 1’s Rave’N ball, which saw its students don white outfits in an icy environment, season 2 will be heading into the Renaissance era as Wednesday can be seen donning a black dress at a masquerade while surrounded by other mask-wearing people.
Thedance scene inWednesdayseason 1 instantly became viral, with even celebrities taking on the strange and awkward dance on popular online platforms like TikTok. Her now iconic dance was made even better by the eerie tune of the"Goo Goo Mucks"in episode 4, and became one of the show’s most beloved scenes due to how surprising it was for fans (and the rest of the students at the ball) to see the normally stoic teenager dance in the first place. Since the trailer also accompanies a motif fromThe Phantom of the Opera, Wednesday’s dance scene will likely be very different from her previous one and probably a lot darker too, especially since it seems like there is more of a classical twist to the music rather than pop and punk tracks played by a DJ.
Wednesdayseason 2 part one will premiere on August 6th, 2025, followed by part two on September 3rd, 2025.
