Fans were originally excited whenWarhammer 40,000: Dawn of War - Definitive Editionwas announcedby Relic Entertainment, but opinions have quickly shifted after the game’s intro cinematic was unveiled. According toIGN, the new high-quality version ofDawn of War’s intro movie has been improved in several ways, but is lacking the iconic “Space Marine scream,” which has appeared in memes among the community over the years. Instead of using the original scream, the audio was changed to another battle cry, which felt more generic to fans. This enraged the community, with fans saying that the devs “ruined” the remaster, and that there was no need to add anything to the game, as it would make it much less cohesive. Others also called the audio “awful” and even said, seemingly jokingly, that leaving out the scream was “a crime against humanity.”

However, the devs teased that they may have a solution in the future.Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War - Definitive Editionwill be out on August 14, and it’s possible that the famous meme scream could be added back to the game when it’s finally released.
