A new Support Card Scout banner is now live inUmamusume: Pretty Derby, and the featured card is the SSR Mejiro Palmer. There are quite a few good Support Cards boosted on this banner as well, but the main draw of thisUmamusumebanner is Mejiro Palmer.
Since manyUmamusumeplayers are still trying to build their Support Card decks with new SSR horse girls to help them in career mode, Mejiro Palmer has caught a lot of people’s attention. She’s also one of the few SSR Guts Support Cards currently available inUmamusume.Should you pull for her, or save your Carats for upcoming Support Card banners?
Should You Pull for Mejiro Palmer in Umamusume?
Mejiro Palmer is aGuts Support Cardpacked with skills forFront Runners. If your favoriteUmamusumecharacter is a Front Runner likeMihono Bourbon orDaiwa Scarlet, then she’s a great fit and you should spend a few Carats to see if you can get her. Otherwise, you should probably save your Carats for future Support Cards.
There just aren’t that many Front Runners in the current state ofUmamusumecompared to other racing styles, soyour Carats will be better spent elsewhere for now.There are some great Support Cards coming up soon, too, and they’ll have much more versatility than Mejiro Palmer. Still, if you need a Guts Support Card or a bunch of Front Runner or Long distance skills, she’ll be a great fit for your deck.

Increase ability to maintain the lead when leading by a large margin mid-race. (Long)

Slightly increase ability to maintain the lead when leading by a large margin mid-race. (Long)

Moderately increase performance when no other runners have the heart of a lone wolf.
The last five skills on the list require hints from Mejiro Palmer’s career events.Vanguard Spiritis Mejiro Palmer’s most important skill, and it’s the biggest reason why she’s so helpful for Front Runners. Combined with her other skills, likeKeeping the Lead, a Front Runner who takes the lead early in a race will have no trouble staying there until the finish line.
As you can probably tell from her skill list, though, Mejiro Palmer doesn’t really have much to offer horse girls with different racing styles. Plus, Guts Support Cards just aren’t that great inUmamusumecompared to other stat specialties. Mejiro Palmer does boost Power gains from training alongside Guts if you raise her Support Card to level 35, but it’s not worth the time and Carats. You’re better off focusing on yourexisting rosterand grinding careers until a better option comes around.
