There are nearly 100 different factions inTotal War: Warhammer 3to choose from across 24 playable races, and as previous updates have shown, the developers aren’t afraid to make big changes if players call for it.

In a new blog post, Creative Assembly announced the developers are in the process of reworkingsieges inTotal War: Warhammer 3, and a Siege Rework Beta will begin on July 24 onSteam. During the beta test, players provide feedback and suggest ideas on how to make sieges more fun, and changes will not be rolled out in the base game until the developers and players are both satisfied with sieges. Creative Assembly senior community manager Steve Coleman notes that this round of Siege Rework Beta testing will last for two weeks, ending on August 7. More details about the upcoming beta, including how to access it on Steam, will be revealed in a subsequent blog post and an upcoming live stream on theTotal WarTwitch channel on July 17 at 2:20 p.m. UTC.

Total War: Warhammer 3 Developers are Reworking Sieges and Asking for Player Feedback in the Upcoming Beta

Before the live stream,Total War: Warhammer 3battle team lead Milcho Vasilev revealed some of the siege changes that will be included in the beta. Vasilev outlined multiple key areas of the game that will be changed for the beta, including the removal of pocket ladders, a rebalancing of siege equipment, stat adjustments to defensive towers and gates, battle AI improvements, and siege map reworks and improvements. Patch notes for these changes will likely be revealed in the future, similarly topastTotal War: Warhammer 3updates.

In the future,theTotal War: Warhammer 3developersplan to release a “wish list” of possible options to explore in sieges. Some examples of these options include introducing ladders as new constructible siege equipment, garrison rebalance updates and reworks, more Battle AI and Pathfinding upgrades, and a change to the way tower and barricade building works.
