In an interview withFlip Your Day(viaVariety),Tom Holland discussedSpider-Man: Brand New Dayand how this movie will be filmed in contrast to the last one.Holland described playing the action hero as “hanging out with an old friend” and said thatSpider-Man: No Way Homewas all shot on stages due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He said:

“Now we’re really gonna lean into that old school filmmaking and shoot in real locations, which is why we’re starting in Glasgow. We are gonna use the streets of Glasgow for this massive set piece that we are putting together.”

Whilefans have been waiting a long time sinceNo Way Home’s 2021 releaseto seeBrand New Day,Holland will start filming the movie in Glasgow, Scotland in August 2025. It will be interesting to see how the city is integrated into the gripping and action-packed story.Homecomingdid a great job of showcasing New York City, and a memorable scene with the Vulture and Spider-Man takes place on the Staten Island Ferry.

Holland didn’t share other details in the interview, but as Marvel actors aren’t able to reveal much about their characters or plotlines, that’s to be expected. Holland is no doubt being careful about the words he uses to describe the upcoming movie as, when he keptcallingSpider-Man: No Way Home"brutal"during the press tour, some at Marvel Studios asked him to refrain from using that term. In his interview about what filmingBrand New Daywill be like, the actor also said he’s “over the moon.”

Although it will be exciting to see this memorable character in this setting,fans are curious about how this will work.
