Summary

Anime Expo generated quite a lot of buzz, as various series took the stage to show off their upcoming projects. Some series got quite huge reveals, such asChainsaw ManandFrieren, while others left fans feeling let down, such as Jujutsu Kaisen.

However, the most disappointing stage of the event might’ve beenOne Punch Man. To put it simply, it’s looking very bad forOne Punch ManSeason 3.

One Punch Man

Season 1 of One Punch Man Was Great, But Season 2 Was a Disaster

The One Punch Man Series Has Never Truly Recovered Since

One Punch Manwas once one of the biggest anime out there. Its first season was a huge hit, and brought in many new fans to the series.

However, that quickly changed with the second season of the series. The entire quality of the anime dropped, and many fans just lost interest. It doesn’t help that the manga is facing issues from the creators, who seem to be dead set on redrawing the same arc, which is quite odd and unheard of behavior in the industry.

Many fans had faith thatOne PunchMan Season 3 would flip this around and bring the One Punch Man series back to its glory. The JC Staff producer even tried to reassure fans by saying this:

“Preparations for the third season are steadily progressing. As a highly popular title with high expectations, we’re committed to delivering a season that won’t disappoint.” — Atsushi Fujishiro

However, it seems the third season will be a huge disappointment too, maybe even worse than the second season.

Season 3 of One Punch Man Will Probably Be Below Average

New Season is Just 3 Months Away with No Trailer

Anime Expo just happened, and quite a lot of series got their own stages, including One Punch Man. That stage, however, was a huge disaster.

TheOne Punch Manseries had a whole panel, but nothing to offer fans. J.C. STAFF didn’t have anything to show fans, not even a trailer, even though the next season is coming out in just three months.

The fact that they don’t have a trailer yet is a very bad sign, and means the production hasn’t even reached a stage where a good trailer can be put out. In other words, One Punch Man Season 3 will be rushed and pretty mediocre. Only a miracle can save One Punch Man season 3 at this point.
