WWE and TNA Wrestling’s multi-year partnership has brought many exciting crossover moments during the companies' respective events.WWE 2K25also included TNA legend Abyss in its Dunk and Destruction DLC, signaling the possibility of more stars from the promotion to be added to the WWE game or future editions of it. The extent of the partnership in terms ofWWE 2K25appearances for the rest of the year is still unclear, but there’s definitely a lot of potential.

During the recently-concluded TNA PPV,Slammiversary, NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne beat Masha Slamovich to win the TNA Knockouts Championship. Jayne’s historic win makes her the first double champion across both NXT and TNA. She is also the second NXT superstar to hold a TNA title, along with current TNA World Champion Trick Williams. With both stars making their mark in both companies, theWWE 2Kfranchisecould utilize the TNA partnershipfor future content.

WWE 2K Can’t Overlook Jacy Jayne’s Historic Win and Other TNA Moments

For as long as fans can remember, WWE and TNA were seen as rival companies, so their working relationship has really opened up a lot of opportunities for their respective superstars. It also helps that both companies have established wrestlers who’ve made a name for themselves in both WWE and TNA, like AJ Styles and the Hardys. But, as mentioned, the partnership might not include using TNA’s assets inWWE 2K25, which could explain whypopular wrestlers like Joe Hendryaren’t playable yet.

With Jayne now holding the TNA Knockouts Championship and Williams holding the TNA World Championship, a futureWWE 2Ktitle orWWE 2K25DLC could include both belts as winnable championships in the game. This would be the first time that the franchise will feature cross-promotion championships to commemorate the wrestlers' accomplishments and also give players a new title to vie for during theirWWE 2KMyRise runs.

Likewise, the nextWWE 2Ktitle could include Jayne and Williams' title-winning matches as future Showcase mode features. Fellow NXT starJordynne Grace wants to see her TNA matchesinWWE 2K’s Showcase as well, so it’s just a matter of the developers pulling the trigger on them. This also means adding more TNA champions to the roster to properly replicate these moments in video game form. Plus, it would be a great way to immortalize the TNA matches alongside some of the most iconic WWE and NXT bouts in history.

Coincidentally, AJ Styles also returned to TNA duringSlammiversary2025, which was the first time he had set foot in the promotion’s ring since 2013. Many believed that this was part of his supposed retirement run for the next year or so. Some of Styles' most memorable matches include his rivalries with Samoa Joe and Christopher Daniels, and he will likely have more against TNA’s current talent pool in the coming weeks. If WWE would like to commemorate Styles' TNA run, both past and present, it could opt to feature selectmatches inWWE 2K’s Showcase modeas well.

WWE’s partnerships open up many opportunities that benefit both the wrestlers involved and its dedicated fanbase. Apart from TNA, WWE also acquired lucha libre promotion AAA, which brings in talented wrestlers like El Hijo del Vikingo and Octagon Jr. IfWWE 2K25already has AAA alum Stephanie Vaquerand Penta on the roster, it wouldn’t be far-fetched to see the others in the future.
