WWE 2K25’sDunk and Destruction DLC adds the likes of NBA stars Tyrese Haliburton, Shaquille O’Neal, and Jalen Brunson to the game, alongside wrestling monsters like TNA Legend Abyss and WWE Hall of Famer The Great Khali. It’s a uniqueWWE 2K25DLC pack for the way it brings multiple worlds into one, and it’s no doubt exciting for wrestling fans to get their hands on some new monsters.

Ahead of this DLC’s release, Game Rant spoke with Abyss himself (WWE Producer Chris Park) about how his inclusion came to be, how it feels for him to stand next to NBA stars and WWE superstars, and, of course, dream matches that will be possible inWWE 2K25.The following transcript has been edited for clarity and brevity.

WWE 2K25 Abyss

Getting Abyss Into WWE 2K25

Q: This isn’t your first video game, but as a former TNA legend and now WWE producer, how does it feel to see yourself in a WWE 2K game given your wrestling history?

A:It’s amazing, almost indescribable. It’s something I never thought would happen. I never thought the possibility was going to present itself to happen, so it’s extremely humbling. I’m extremely honored. I’m extremely excited to seeAbyss in WWE 2K25and incredibly thankful to the people at WWE: Nick Khan, Triple H, Bruce Prichard, all the powers that be who allowed it to happen.

WWE 2K25 DLC Wrestlers

Q: What was that moment like when you were approached about your addition?

A:I was shocked; at first, I couldn’t believe this was reality. I got the call one day, I think it was last summer, that there was a possibility of it happening, and I just had to pinch myself. I’m super thrilled about it to this day. I’m not the best gamer in the world, but I’ll learn how to play the Abyss character for sure.

WWE 2K25 Tag Page Cover Art

Q: What about the quality of your character? How do you feel Visual Concepts has done at capturing you, your moves, your entrance?

A:It’s blown me away. The detail to the character, everything from the way he walks, moves, does his arms cross, and everything in it feels like watching a video of me, not a video game of me. The folks at 2K25 have absolutely nailed it. I get blown away by the mannerisms, the tattoos on the arm, Janice. Janice looks exactly like I built her, and it’s incredible what they’ve done with that technology.

It’s always the little details, right? Games have come a long way, even year after year. It’s been a hot minute since the TNA game.

Yeah, I thinkthe TNA video gamewas 2008, a long time ago, and that was the only exposure I have ever had in the video game world up until now.

Q: WWE 2K25 hasn’t confirmed your rating yet, but what do you think you should be compared to the rest of the roster?

A: The Abyss version in the video game is in his prime. I’m going to inch myself up to the high 80s, low 90s at least. I’d like to see 99, but I feel high 80s, low 90s would be apropos.

99 is very rare in 2K games. Roman Reigns was 99 for one year and that’s it, but everyone has to be a 99, right?

Yeah. I mean, in their own mind, you’ve got to be confident that you can reach that 99.

Dunk and Destruction, Dream Matches

Q: Once players download the DLC and can play you, is there anyone on the current WWE roster you’d love to see players create a Dream Match against?

A:That’s the one thing I’m really interested to see. There are just so many options. Undertaker vs. Abyss pops off for the first thing in my mind, but I’d love to revisitAJ Stylesvs. Abyss. I could sit here for an hour and rattle off matches that I’d love to see, and I’m sure fans out there who are playing it have 1000 more than I have. The fun thing is this gives the fans the opportunity to do matches that they’ve always wanted to see. That’s pretty amazing.

Q: Do you have any thoughts on the Dunk and Destruction Pack and your inclusion alongside these different kinds of legends?

A: It’s so unique. I was blown away by who was in the Dunk and Destruction Pack.Shaquille O’neal, I mean gosh. This guy is one of the all-time greats in the NBA, and then, Tyrese Halliburton, shout out to him. I hope he gets healthy and heals up real soon, and everything goes well with that. But you know, the guy just competed in the NBA finals. To be added alongside mainstream athletes, as well as next to mainstream WWE athletes, I think it’s a great mix. It’s something unique for fans to really dig into and brings both worlds, the NBA and WWE together, and that’s something I’d never thought I’d see either. That blows me away.
