This is the final spoiler warning forSuperman(2025)!

The questions raised below are in no way negative aboutSuperman(2025), but are simply fun questions some fans might have asked themselves after watching the movie.

7Are We Supposed to Question Superman’s Legacy Or Not?

It’s Hard to Tell if Lex Luthor Was Lying, Or Luckily Was Right About Superman

One of the most valid questions thatSupermanasks surrounds the culture of Krypton and the reason that Earth was chosen for Kal-El’s arrival. While one would assume that desperate parents sent their newborn away from a doomed planet to one where they would have great power simply to survive without trouble, the decrypted and translated message from Jor-El and Lara provides darker reasoning. Luthor manages to translate a messagefrom Jor-El and Lara, and convinces the world that Superman was sent here to conquer the planet with his powers and have a harem to repopulate the planet with Kryptonians. However, despite world-renowned linguists saying that the footage is genuine, it seems absurd to think that Lex Luthor was right about Superman all along, especially since Supergirl would be aware of Krypton’s culture herself, so surely it’s not true?

6How is Guy Gardner Allowed to be a Corporate Hero and Not a Space Cop?

Guy Gardner is the first Green Lantern introduced to the DCU, and his allegiance is a bit of a strange one. Guy Gardner is the self-proclaimed leader of the Justice Gang, an American-based group of superheroes with financial backing from Maxwell Lord. However, this Green Lantern’s commitment to the Justice Gang makes his oath to the Guardians of Oa a little strange, since he’s supposed to be an intergalactic cop in Sector 2814 for the Green Lanterns, but instead he seems to mainlyjust play about on Earth as a hero.

5How Will Lois Keep Her Relationship With Superman Secret?

The Daily Planet Seems to Know About Superman and Lois “Hooking Up”

Towards the end of the movie, Superman takes Lois Lane away from the Daily Planet’s crew for a private interview that results in them having a romantic moment. Perry White and Jimmy Olsen don’t witness the kiss, but they are aware that Superman and Lois have been “hooking up” for 3 months. With this knowledge and the fact that Lois and Clark are now in love, how will they keep the relationship a secret from the crew at the Daily Planet? Or is this going to be a rather troubling situationship where Clark has to act like he doesn’t know that Lois has affection for Superman?

4What Are the Repercussions of Killing a Foreign Country’s President?

Hawkgirl Kills the President of Boravia, So What Are the International Consequences?

With Lex Luthor’s backing, Boravia was given the green light to invade its neighboring country, Jarhanpur. This unprovoked invasion saw the Justice Gang come to the rescue whileSuperman was busysaving Metropolis, but it didn’t just end with sending the troops back home without their precious weapons. Instead, Hawkgirl went to Boravia herself to kill the Boravian President, Vasil Ghurkos. A United States citizen, and a hero funded by the American billionaire Maxwell Lord, assassinating a foreign president, must surely cause quite the international controversy with the United Nations… right? Or is this the beginning of a new age of metahumans where governments realize that superheroes cannot be controlled?

3Does Superman’s No-Kill Rule Not Apply to Clones?

Superman is Somewhat Responsible for the (Potential) Death of Ultraman

Superman discovers his match with Ultraman, who unmasks to reveal himself as a clone of the Man of Steel. Ultraman was created from a single strand of hair left behind by Superman, and he’s Lex Luthor’s greatest invention so far.Ultraman has all of Superman’s strengthand powers, but without a brain. This lack of self-awareness involved in Ultraman, and the fact that he’s technically not a living thing due to his creation, leaves a gray area in his status as alive or dead. Therefore, when Superman moves out of the way of a falling bus that traps Ultraman and sees him plummet into a black hole, can that be considered a kill for Superman, or simply avoiding his own death? It’s hard to have a guilty conscience about this one.

2How Were Millions Evacuated From Metropolis So Fast?

Metropolis Managed to Evacuate Within Minutes

There’s always a controversy regarding the death of innocents in superhero movies, and the workaround for this is to take the final fight out of a populated city into a desert, or to evacuate the area.Supermanelects for the latter, and the final act of the movie has part of Metropolis completely evacuated. Millions of people supposedly, and in a very well-organized fashion, managed to leave Metropolis. It’s not very believable, but at the end of the day, it works better thanhaving millions diejust for the sake of realism and logic.

1Did Uncovering Luthor’s Plot Just End All of Superman’s Problems?

If Lex Lied About His Involvement in Boravia, Then Did He Lie About Krypton?

Lex Luthor’s ultimate planinSupermaninvolved selling weapons to Boravia for cheap so that they could have the military might they needed to invade Jarhanpur, in exchange for Lex to have half of the country so he could rule as king. However, this was all a front to get Superman involved in international conflict so that he could raise an issue with the U.S. Government about Superman. When the Daily Planet published an article showing proof of Luthor’s plan, the world seemed to turn against the billionaire businessman, and everyone loved Superman again. With Luthor’s validity in question, does this mean that Superman is allowed to involve himself in international affairs without U.S. government involvement? Is Superman no longer legally an alien? Do people still think he has a secret harem?
