Summary

As the apex predator of the Cretaceous period, theTyrannosaurus Rexhas become an enduring symbol of power and ferocity since its real-world discovery in 1902. TheJurassic Worldseries has done an exceptional job of showcasing the terror and majesty of these mighty beasts, making them the poster child seen in every movie.

Over the years, there have beenmultiple T-rexes featured in theJurassic Worldmovies and Netflix animated shows. Some of these creatures have become iconic staples of the franchise, while others have appeared only once. Certain T-rexes have proven to be more ferocious and deadly in a universe filled with dinosaurs. They have achieved impressive feats, such as defeating hybrid dinosaurs and rampaging through cities.

8Junior

T-Rexes Can Also Be Deadly As Infants

Baby dinosaurs are always adorable, as seen withJuniorinThe Lost World: Jurassic Park.He is the offspring of Buck and Doe. Due to his young age, he is not nearly as strong as his parents or most dinosaurs seenin theJurassic Worldfranchise. His vulnerability is further highlighted when the hunters disable him, using his cries of pain to lure his parents.

Although Junior, the baby Tyrannosaurus, may seem helpless, he proves otherwise when he fully recovers and, with the assistance of his father, Buck, kills a fully grown human. Given the time that has passed, the franchise could potentially reintroduce Junior to show how he is faring as an adult Tyrannosaurus Rex.

7Bull

This Short-Lived Rex Spawned Controversy Among Fans

When it comes to adult Tyrannosaurus, the smallest (fully-grown) example that fans have seen to date isBull fromJurassic Park 3. He has the misfortune of encountering the defective Spinosaurus on Isla Sorna, resulting in a memorable but controversialbattle between giant creatures, which resulted in the first on-screen death of a T-rex in the franchise.

Bull stands out due to his vibrant green hide, and while he does put up a fight, his smaller stature and the advantage of the Spinosaurus present Bull as a weaker creature. There is a common fan theory that Bull is Junior fromThe Lost WorldsinceJurassic Park 3is set on the same island, but the colors of the two creatures do not match.

6Striped

Ripped Straight Out Of Michael Crichton’s Novel

While the filmmakers mostly stuck to newdinosaurs inJurassic World: Rebirth, the T-rex continues to shine with a newStripedone living on Ile Saint-Hubert. Where the last few movies made the Tyrannosaurus into more of a heroic character, the striped T-rex harkens back to the originalJurassic Parkmovies by showing off how scary they can be when chasing humans.

Jurassic World: Rebirthalso revisits the original Michael CrichtonJurassic Parknovel with the striped T-rex chasing a family of humans on a yellow raft. Fans had hoped to see the scene in live-action, and director Gareth Edwards delivered on that, solidifying the Tyrannosaurus as one of the best parts of the movie.

5Little Eatie

A Juvenile Who Took After Her Mother

On another island run by Mantah Corp, fans were introduced toLittle Eatie, a juvenile T-rex that lived with her mother, Big Eatie, under the watch of Dr. Mae Turner inJurassic World: Camp Cretaceous. Her being smaller and weaker than her mother plays a major part in the cruel plot carried about by both Kash Langford and Daniel Kon to make dinosaursfight each other likePokemonunder mind control.

Little Eatie sustains many wounds as a result of Mantah Corp’s mind control, even from her own mother. However, Little Eatie proves to be stronger than expected when she fights and survives both the Spinosaurus and a Carnotaurus. Later on, she and her mother end up overpowering the Spinosaurus, forcing it to retreat.

4Doe

Never Mess With A Mother T-Rex

Instead of one T-rex,The Lost World: Jurassic Parkpresents the audience with a power couple that works together to protect their child in the form ofDoeand her mate, Buck. Both are seemingly at the top of the food chain on Isla Sorna, and are a consistent threat once Junior is harmed and taken by humans.

Doe and Buck both roll and push the Gatherers’ trailers off a cliff out of revenge and kill multiple Poachers. Even the Gatherers’ SUVs are nothing to Doe, as she can easily tear one apart with her mouth. In a way, she is similar to real-world mother bears, which are also very protective of their young and will retaliate if threatened, but with Doe, it’s on a much larger scale.

3Big Eatie

She Can Be Just As Sweet As She Is Fearsome

Big Eatieis Little Eatie’s mother on Mantah Corp Island and a memorable part of the last two seasons ofJurassic World: Camp Cretaceous. She is one of the more docile Tyrannosaurus Rexes in the franchise, as shown by her gentle maternal relationship with her daughter and how she responds with kindness to the Nublar Six, especially Darius Bowman, who bonds with her.

TheJurassic Worldmovies emphasize that dinosaurs are animalsrather than horror movie monsters, and Big Eatie is a prime example of this. However, despite this portrayal, she remains a dominant figure in the dinosaur kingdom. InJurassic World: Chaos Theory, she battles a Spinosaurus and other carnivorous dinosaurs, showcasing her strength and authority.

2Buck

His Rampage Through San Diego Is Iconic

Of the parent Tyrannosaurus Rexes inThe Lost World: Jurassic Park,Buckis the most famous due to his dark green hue and his iconic rampage with his mate, Doe, to protect their son. He and Doe hunt humans to protect their territory and their young, resulting in one of the first examples of theJurassicsaga treating its dinosaurs more like animals than monsters.

For many fans, Buck is considered nearly as iconic as the original T-rex fromJurassic Park, largely due to his role in the fourth act ofThe Lost World. In this segment, Buck rampages through San Diego, causing chaos and harm to innocent people while in a drugged and dehydrated state. Not even metal and glass doors can stop him as he tries to rescue Junior from humans.

1Rexy

The Queen Of Jurassic Park and Jurassic World

Since she was the Tyrannosaurus Rex that audiences first met inJurassic Park, and she continued to have a recurring role in the first threeJurassic Worldmovies,Rexywins out here based on experience alone. She began as a recurring threat to the visitorsstranded on the islandof Isla Nublar, which had already earned her a reputation of being an iconic dinosaur and the star of the movie.

Starting withJurassic World, Rexy made a triumphant return as a neutral hero who worked with Blue the Velociraptor and the Mosasaurus to defeat the Indominus Rex. She then had her ultimate face-off with the Giganotosaurus inJurassic World: Dominion, proving that she is, and likely always will be, the queen of the dinosaurs.
