The Sims 4’s upcoming expansion pack, Enchanted by Nature, has undoubtely gotten fans more hyped compared to other recent releases; it promises to add an occult that the community has been waiting for for years now, and it’s nature-focused, a fan-favorite theme among cozy game lovers, many of which playThe Sims 4.
Fans got to see a bit more of Enchanted by Nature with the release of the gameplay trailer on June 26. This list compiles the most exciting features coming toThe Sims 4with the Enchanted by Nature expansion pack, which is scheduled to release on July 10.
1Houseplant Gameplay
Plants As More Than Decor
With Enchanted by Nature, players will have topay special attention to their houseplants inThe Sims 4. Up until now, houseplants were a simple and affordable way to add some life and color to the indoors of Sims' homes, but now, Sims will actually have to take care of them, otherwise they will wither.
According to the trailer, players can enchant houseplants; this will make it so they can water and take care of themselves. However, it makes one wonder if any Sim will have access to these enchantments, as it doesn’t seem like gameplay that will fit in with just any household. With so many chores andtasks available inThe Sims 4, let’s hope that there is a way to disable houseplant needs so they can remain part of the decor.
2Balance Stat
Maintain a Balanced Lifestyle or Suffer the Consequences
While players have to pay close attention to theirSims' Needs to keep them happy inThe Sims 4, that’s not the only thing that influences their moods. Everything about a Sim’s life can influence their mood in a negative or positive way, and this can lead to a balanced or imbalanced lifestyle.
If players don’t keep an eye on their Sims' moodlet balance, and they find themselves in a bad mood more often than not, then they will start to experience an imbalance that could have serious consequences, such as ailments - illnesses exclusive to Enchanted by Nature.
3Luck Stat
Luck Returns to The Sims
Enchanted by Nature is bringing back luck toThe Sims. Players could have Sims with the Lucky and the Unlucky traits inThe Sims 3, and it was a fun trait that impacted gameplay. While Lucky Sims were more likely to succeed, whether at work, doing housework, or playing games, Unlucky Sims were the exact opposite and more likely to fail.
Soon enough, the luck mechanic will be available inThe Sims 4. However, it is an actual stat rather than a trait, and it seems it can vary on a daily basis. Players will be able to acquire Luck Charms to improve their Sim’s luck.
4Apothecary Skill
Craft Ailment Cures, Potions, and Elixirs
With the Apothecary Skill inThe Sims 4, players will be able to cure ailments and make potions and useful elixirs. As Simsincrease their Apothecary Skill, they will gain access to more potent potions, which will allow them to target more ailments and emotions.
In the gameplay trailer, it was possible to see a complete crafting list available at Apothecary Skill Level 10, and it is clear that this skill goes hand-in-hand with the foraging mechanic that will also be greatly improved with this expansion pack.
Increase the Natural Living Skill to Live as a Nature Nomad
One of theaspirations coming toThe Sims 4with Enchanted by Nature is called Nature Nomad, and it incentivizes players to truly live off the land, not just off the grid.
Players can work on the Natural Living Skill as they ease their way into this lifestyle. They must forage to feed themselves, sleep on the grass to keep well-rested, and find other ways to survive without what many would consider basic commodities.
6Nature-Focused Build Mode Items
Even though the nomadic lifestyle and living off the earth are encouraged in this pack, that doesn’t mean there won’t be a great deal of building items to create beautiful,nature-filled homes inThe Sims 4.
The reveal trailer showed plenty of upcoming Build Mode objects coming toThe Sims 4with Enchanted by Nature, and the community has a lot to be excited about. From earth huts to fairytale-like builds, the range of the building items included in this pack is incredible.
7Fairy Occult Species
A Highly Anticipated Addition
Simsfans have been asking for fairies to be added toThe Sims 4for years now, and the time has finally come. Sims can summon Mother Nature, follow her instructions, which will eventually lead them to a beautiful lake that they can enter to become fairies.
Fairies will featurehighly customizable body parts, such as wings, ears, skin tones, accessories, and glowing tattoos. There are lots of fairy abilities to unlock, and players must choose which path their Sim will take, as they can become a Harmonious Fairy or a Discordant Fairy.
