Summary
Formerly hidden by a thick fog, theWorld of Warcraft: Mists of Pandariahave lifted to reveal the game’s newest continent. There’s a lot to see and do in Pandaria as characters grind to the new level cap of 90, butseveral locations are more important than others, and players should attempt to reach these places as soon as possible.
Some of these places are cities that provide high-level training and transportation, while others include dungeons and important quest hubs. For faster leveling, better gear for future raids, and professional training, these arethe most importantplaces to visit in Pandaria.
7Dawn’s Blossom
A Transport And Trade Hub
Dawn’s Blossomis one of the first major cities that players find in Pandaria, assuming they follow the questline that starts with their faction discovering the continent. It’s also in the Jade Forest, but more centrally located southeast of the original crash and battle sites.
The quest chain that includes the lessons of Loremaster Cho leads to this location, where players can pick upa few other side quests while changing their hearthstones and getting repairs. Several trainers are also located here, which might be the most important feature of all.
6Halfhill
Home Of The Tillers
The small town ofHalfhill, found in the central fields of the Valley of the Four Winds, is surprisingly active. The main market is a bustling hub of farmers, vendors, and most importantly, trainers. Characters come here to grind rep with the Tillers, one of the new Factions introduced in the expansion, and learn level 90 Cooking recipes.
The Tailoring trainer is also nearby, in a little village called the Silken Fields just southeast of Halfhill, and he has a few quests for those interested in finding art of one of Pandaria’s signature products. The Stormsnout Brewery, one of the new dungeons, is just down the road to the southwest.
5Temple Of The Jade Serpent
The First Instance Most Players Find
The saga of the Jade Serpent begins well before the player reaches the Temple of the Jade Serpent. A series of quests, some of which involve our friend Lorewalker Cho, lead south to not only the temple but also locations like The Aboretum and Serpent’s Heart.
Following the questline to the Temple reveals more of the legend and lore of Pandaria, including several templesand their animal spiritsscattered throughout the land. Players will continue this journey in the Karasang Wilds to the southwest, where they embark on a similar rescue mission at the Temple of the Red Crane.
4Stormstout Brewery
A New And Exciting Dungeon
Bolo the Kegmender in Dawn’s Blossom has an interesting story to tell, and it’s the start of a quest chain that the player can follow into the Valley of the Four Winds and eventually to theStormsnout Brewery. Players can still complete the dungeon even if they haven’t done the whole quest chain, but this way, they can follow the saga of the family brewery through several generations.
As one of the three dungeons on the continent, players should visit this location as soon as possible to continue upgrading their gear and leveling up. The Temple of the Jade Serpent is a decent starter dungeon, and that progression continues with the Stormstout Brewery.
3Nesingwary’s Safari
An Oasis In The Karasang Wilds
Every new continent means a new branch ofNesingwary’s Safari, and they have a quaint little camp in the central part of the Valley of the Four Winds, near the southern border with the Karasang Wilds. Players should also note that there’s an easy road leading down and south to the Wilds just west of this location.
There’s a Skinning trainer located here, Mr. Pleeb the Taxidermist, which is convenient to have if the player is hunting the animals associated with the Nesingwary quest chain and are leveling the profession. The Gnome, Sally Fizzlefury, can help players with Zen Mastery engineering, and there’s even a vendorto help lighten the loadso they can carry more loot.
2Mogu’shan Palace
Two Moons And Seven Stars
Mogu’shan Palaceitself is home to a raid and a dungeon, but that’s not the only thing that draws players to this central location in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms. Unlike previous expansions, which featured neutral cities such as Shattrath and Dalaran, the Alliance and Horde factions now have separate cities on either side of the palace.
The Shrine of Seven Stars is the home to the Alliance, while the Horde claims the Shrine of Two Moons as their base of operations in Pandaria. This is also where some of the max-level trainers can be found when characters reach 90, such as the faction-specific Flight Masters.
1Shado-Pan Monastery
A Dungeon And A Raid
Shando-Pan Monasteryis a cold and treacherous zone that is only open to characters level 87 or higher, but most will be pushing to get there as fast as possible to take part in the expansion’s latest raid. It’s not just the raid itself, but the associated quests that have to be completed to gain entry; all the Shado-Pan quests in the Kul Li Summitmust be completed to beattuned for the raid.
There’s also a selection of daily quests for those who want to grind rep with one of Pandaria’s most mysterious and powerful factions. The Shado-Pan share some powerful enchanting recipes with their friends, and also offer them a mount and max-level gear when their trust is well-earned.
