Luigi’s Mansion 2is arguably the best game in the series, with the 3DS version boasting an impressive 86 average on Metacritic. Sadly, the 2024 Switch port didn’t introduce any new content or major quality-of-life upgrades, but it did improve the visuals quite a bit. If you already played the game on the 3DS, you can probably skip this one, but if you’re delving into the world ofDark Moonfor the very first time, this is absolutely the best way to experience it, and at a reasonable price to boot.

Annually released sports sim franchises don’t have the best reputation when it comes to their Switch ports, andNBA 2K25is no exception. The visuals and gameplay are nowhere near as good as they are on other platforms, making it a tough one to recommend at full price. For $8.99, though,NBA 2K25becomes a much more attractive proposition, particularly for those who plan on playing it on the Switch 2. There’s no performance patch or anything like that, but players can still expect a slightly smoother experience thanks tothe new console’s more powerful processor.
Red Dead Redemption

Of all of the third-party offerings in the Nintendo summer sale, this is one of the ones that stands out most, so if you haven’t already played it and are looking to get a taste of life during the decline of the Old West, now is the perfect time to do so.

Nintendo Switch 2
The successor to 2017’s Nintendo Switch continues down the same path as its predecessor, providing a hybrid experience that supports both home and handheld gaming. Launching on July 04, 2025, with games like Mario Kart World, the basic Nintendo Switch 2 bundle comes with the console, Joy-Con 2, straps for the controller, a dock, an AC adapter, an HDMI cable, and a Joy-Con 2 grip.
