Dune Awakeningputs a major emphasis on resource farming and mining various materials for players to craft their equipment and vehicles. Cutteray is the best tool for mining as it breaks down large ore, allowing you to carry it back to the base for processing.
While Cutteray MK6 is the highest-tier Cutteray in the game, players will need to make multiple trips in the Deep Desert PvP zone to get its components. However, players can find and craft the Tarl Cutteray, which is better than the Cutteray MK6, and it can be crafted withoutheading into the Deep Desertat all.
Tarl Cutteray Unique Schematic Location in Dune Awakening
The best location to find Tarl Cutteray’s unique schematic is theStonestep Village in The O’odham regioninDune Awakening. Head to the location, either by a ground vehicle or by an Ornithopter (getting to the chest is easier with the latter). Once you head inside the rocky building, you’ll need to defeat some enemies guarding the area.
Keep eliminating enemies as youhead up the broken stairs and into the loot roomat the top. If you landed on top of the Stonestep Village, you would have just jumped through the hole on top and landed way closer to the loot room. There will be some enemies in the room as well that you’ll have to defeat.
Once enemies are taken care of,open the cylindrical chestin the back to get the Unique Tarl Cutteray Schematic. Since it’s not a confirmed drop, you may need to revisit this location two to three times, once the loot room’s chest respawns, to get the Cutteray.
There’s a10% chance for the Tarl Cutteray to dropfrom these chests, so you can try your luck at multiple locations, including the Imperial Testing Stations in O’odham. However, Stonestep Village is the quickest way to get to it.
How to Craft the Tarl Cutteray
Once you return to the base, ensure to research the schematic first and thenopen up the Survival Fabricator. Head over to the Gathering Tools section and select the Tarl Cuttery schematic inside. You’ll need the following resources to craft it.
Everything listed above can be found within the region of the Hagga Basin, except for the Thermoelectric Coolers, which are exclusive to the Deep Desert. However, players don’t need to worry as they can purchase resources from eitherthe Crossroads Tradepost orthe Player Trade Marketin Arakeen or Harko Village.
Here’s a quick comparison between the Cutteray MK6 and Tarl Cutteray to give you an idea of how it’s a better option.
