How to Get the Surf Cube in Fortnite
Players can get aguaranteed Surf Board by purchasing one for 300 Gold at theLightrider NPCfound in Shiny Shafts. Outside of this guaranteed spawn from an NPC, players will have to rely purely on luck, as the Surf Board might be a random spawn from the following sources:
How to Use the Surf Cube in Fortnite
The Surf Cube has a charge of 150, and players can use it by holding the item from their loadout, where they will then be able to select R2/RT/Left-Click to start surfing. During surfing, players will go notably faster than a sprint, and they are able to effortlessly glide across water and avoid fall damage with each drop. If players want to go even faster and get some air time, then they can hit L2/LT/Right-Click to activate Flight Mode, which will see the player temporary launch themselves into the air for omni-directional movement, but this Flight Mode only lasts around 6 seconds, and has a 6 second recharge before it can be used again.
Players can also use the jump button to leap over small obstacles, but clicking the jump button in the air will stop the player from surfing. Players should only use the Surf Cube as a Utility item to get to places, as it’s a tad too slow when it comes to escaping gunfire, and players cannot equip their weapons while using it.
