GSC Game World has recently removed theSTALKER 2ads fromSTALKER: Legends of the Zone Trilogy Enhanced Edition. This decision will likely be popular withSTALKER: Legends of the Zone Trilogy Enhanced Editionplayers, as most fans did not enjoy the advertising in the game.
STALKER: Legends of the Zone Trilogy Enhanced Editionwas releasedon May 20, and it’s currently available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Collecting the originalSTALKERgames from 2007 to 2009,STALKER: Legends of the Zone Trilogywas originally launched in 2024, and the newEnhanced Editionwas free for gamers who already owned it. One of the problems that gamers had with the edition, however, was the presence of adverts in the games’ menus, which would show the recentSTALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl.
Now, in the latest patch forSTALKER: Legends of the Zone Trilogy Enhanced Edition, GSC Game World has quietly removed the annoying ads, as spotted byVideoGamer. The ads, which appeared in the menus of all three remastered games,Shadow of Chornobyl,Clear Sky, andCall of Pripyat, are now entirely free of these ads.

Advertising was only one of the problems that enraged theSTALKERfanbase, though, asSTALKER: Legends of the Zone Trilogy Enhanced Editionwas review-bombedsoon after the launch. Players were originally unhappy with multiple aspects of the product, which was rated as “Mostly Negative” on Steam at the time. The main complaints included the lack of DLAA/DLSS support, blurry visuals, and some controversial changes made to Russian and Soviet architecture in the game.
Fortunately,STALKER: Legends of the Zone Trilogy Enhanced Editionhas come a long way since then, improving the overall experience. In apreviousSTALKER: Legends of the Zone Trilogy Enhanced Editionupdate, for example, stability improvements were made, a number of bugs were fixed, and some save-loading problems were corrected.
Apart from working on enhancing these classic games, GSC Game World continues to work onSTALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl. The recentUpdate 1.5 forSTALKER 2brought major enhancements to the A-Life system, which is used to make the Zone feel more realistic with NPC behavior. The update also affected AI and combat, making significant improvements, and rebalanced some parts of the popular post-apocalyptic game, as well as corrected issues like bugs and crashes. Hopefully, GSC Game World will continue polishing the games of the franchise, supporting these popular titles.
