Solo Levelingwas a huge hit that nobody saw coming. The series has taken a massive hold on the global anime community. The anime swept many awards this year, but even with that, the series has a huge flaw that fans can’t simply overlook. This flaw is only going to get more apparent whenSolo LevelingSeason 3 comes out.

Solo Leveling Did Great At The Crunchyroll Awards

Since then, everyone in the anime community has been talking about it. Its popularity only kept skyrocketing withSolo LevelingSeason 2, especially with the Jeju Island arc, which was a huge hit.

Solo Leveling’spopularity globally can’t be underestimated. After all, the anime did amazingly well during the Crunchyroll Awards this year, much better than any other anime in that regard.

This year,Solo Levelingwon Best New Series, Best Action, Best Main Character, Best Score, Best Ending Sequence, Best Voice Artist Performance (Brazilian Portuguese), Best Voice Artist Performance (Castilian Spanish), and Best Voice Artist Performance (English). Even more impressively, Solo Leveling won the most prestigious award as well, which was the Anime of the Year Award. This is all incredible, as it was up against huge hit anime like Frieren and Dandadan.

Despite all this, however, the series has one major flaw, and that’s its main character, Sung Jinwoo.

Solo Leveling Has A Major Flaw And It Won’t Change Anytime Soon

Sung Jinwoo Is Not The Most Interesting Character

Sung Jinwoo is the main characterof Solo Leveling, and he is definitely an incredibly popular character. Sung Jinwoo even won the award for best main character this year, but this doesn’t change the fact that he’s so powerful that he’s almost uninteresting to watch at times.

Sung Jinwoo started off as an interesting character. He was an E Rank Hunter who struggled to make ends meet, with a sick mother and a younger sister to take care of. At first, when he gained his new powers, he was still somewhat interesting and struggled at many points in the story.

However, as the story progresses,Jinwoo becomes far too overpowered for anything he faces. His character development does not make up for any of this. InSolo LevelingSeason 2, he is hardly opposed by anyone.

This can especially be seen when he faces off against Thomas Andre in the Manhwa and beats him effortlessly, ruining the entire concept of National Level Hunters.
