Bloober Team has revealed that its upcoming sci-fi horror gameCronos: The New Dawnwill be released this September. Alongside this announcement,Cronos: The New Dawnhas received a new trailer and is confirmed to be heading to a new platform alongside PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.
Announced in October 2024,Cronos: The New Dawnis the next game from Bloober Team, the developer behind the critically-acclaimedSilent Hill 2remake. Prior to this, Bloober Team’s track record wasn’t the greatest, withmost of its games launching to lukewarm critical reception and 2014’sBasement Crawleven ranking among thelowest-rated PS4 exclusives. After theSilent Hill 2remake, though, hopes were high for whatever Bloober Team is cooking up next, andCronos: The New Dawnhas done well to capture intrigue.
At the latest Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase, Bloober Team showed up to confirm thatCronos: The New Dawnwill launch on June 05, 2025. Notably, this release date slightly precedes the originally-statedfall 2025 launch window forCronos: The New Dawn, but it’s unlikely that anyone will complain about getting the game early. Two editions ofCronos: The New Dawnwill be available: a $59.99 Standard Edition and a $69.99 Deluxe Edition that reportedly includes 48-hour early access beginning on September 3, though this hasn’t been officially confirmed yet. A PS5 physical edition ofCronos: The New Dawnis coming via Skybound Games too, and will include a sticker set and bonus in-game content.

As for the reason behindCronos: The New Dawnappearing at theJuly 2025 Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase, the game’s launch platforms have expanded toinclude the Nintendo Switch 2. This should give Bloober Team a wide net to cast forCronos: The New Dawn, targeting players on every current-gen platform. It’s worth noting, though, thatCronos: The New Dawnwill be available on Switch 2 only in the $59.99 Standard Edition, with the Deluxe Edition eluding the Nintendo handheld. A physical version ofCronos: The New Dawnfor Switch 2 has not been confirmed yet either.

With launch just over a month away, it should be interesting to see howCronos: The New Dawnperforms.
