10Sharpshooter Challenge #1 – Kill 5 Flying Birds

Sharpshooter Challenge #1 is one of the easiest challenges that players will be able to complete, and this can be done practically anywhere on the map. However, if players want a more assured route, then head past Armadillo to Twin Rocks and completethe gang hideout. The corpses here will cause nearby vultures to swarm the sky, and players will then be able to use any repeater or rifle to aim up and shoot at them. These 5 birds do not need to be killed with the same gun, or even in the same area, but this is the fastest way to complete this challenge. Other birds that players can use for this challenge include: Crows, Ducks, Eagles, Hawks, Seagulls, and Songbirds.

9Sharpshooter Challenge #2 – Kill 5 Rabbits

Just like the first Sharpshooter Challenge, players will need to focus their attention on killing animals. However, for this challenge, players need to look down and not up. The challenge requires players to kill 5 rabbits, and players will easily find rabbits hopping through the tall grass surrounding in the south region between Pike’s Basin and MacFarlane’s Ranch. Players simply need to keep their eyes on the grass with their gun drawn, where they can shoot the rabbits that appear until they have successfully shot and killed 5 of them, with no skinning required.

8Sharpshooter Challenge #3 – Kill 5 Coyotes Without Taking Any Damage

Another relatively easy challenge for the Sharpshooter set is to kill 5 coyotes without taking a single bit of damage. Coyotes might be skittish and fast, but they are relatively harmless and tend to run away from humans, especially when they have guns that make loud noises andkill their friends. For this challenge, head to the south region between Pike’s Basin and MacFarlane’s Ranch at night and try to aim for the head to make short work of the fleeing coyotes. If players are scared of being attacked, then use a high-stamina horse or a horse attached to a wagon while chasing down these pesky beasts.

7Sharpshooter Challenge #4 – Kill 5 Birds From a Moving Train

Trains can be foundacross New Austinby checking the map, as the train will have its own distinct icon, and can be in a random spot that players will need to get to. Once players have located the train, simply board it and then use the ladders on the outside carts to climb on top. Make sure the train is moving before firing, and then look to the sky for any flying birds that can be shot down with repeaters and Dead Eye.

Sharpshooter #5 is where the difficulty might increase for some players, but the challenges are still relatively easy if they know what to do. For this challenge, players will want to roam the empty plains of New Austin around Armadillo, as in this area, players will find snakes, rabbits, and deer. Once an animal has been found, trail it with your horse until it leads you to a second animal. At this point, activate Dead Eye and kill both animals with it, andlet Dead Eye expireautomatically, without canceling it, to finish this challenge.

Completing Sharpshooter Challenge #5 will reward players with an increase to the ammo they can claim from chests in their Safehouses.

5Sharpshooter Challenge #6 –Shoot 2 Hats Off 2 Different People’s Heads

Sharpshooter Challenge #6 does not require enemies, so players can try to complete this challenge by using NPCs. Try to create a save file before attempting this, just to avoid unwanted aggravation and hostilities, but once players are ready, the saloon in Armadillo is a great spot since Walton’s Gang has large hats for players to shoot. Players can also use Dead Eye to slow time and make shooting these hats easier, and all players need to do is shoot off 2 hats. This does not need to be done with the same Dead Eye. For this challenge, it might be worth waiting until players have the Dead Eyeupgrade from Landon Rickettsso players can free-fire during Dead Eye.

4Sharpshooter Challenge #7 – Kill 3 Bears Each With 1 Shot

Bears are easily found in Tall Trees, and players are definitely going to want to bring a powerful rifle to the fight. Rifles that can easily kill a bear in 1 shot consist of: Buffalo Rifles, Bolt Action Rifles, and Springfield Rifles. While using Dead Eye is not necessary, it can be useful for slowing down a charging bear while allowing players to get a headshot. This challenge does not count for Shotguns and Explosive Rifles, so just be patient and shoot 1 bear with 1 shot, and then repeat until 3 bears are dead in total.

3Sharpshooter Challenge #8 – Shoot the Hats Off of 2 People’s Heads and Disarm 2 People

This challenge does not need to be completed in one attempt, so that makes things easier; however, what makes this challenge even easier than that is by having Landon Ricketts’ Dead Eye upgrade so players can free-fire. Walton’s Gang members found in Armadillo and Twin Rocks are great targets for this challenge, so players will want to shoot their tall top hats off, and then use something like a revolver to shoot away their rifles, shotguns, and pistols that they drawonce aggravated.

2Sharpshooter Challenge #9 – Kill 6 Wild Animals Without Reloading or Switching Weapons

Sharpshooter Challenge #9 is surprisingly easy, and while players are told they cannot reload or switch weapons, using Dead Eye will automatically reload the currently held weapon without impacting the challenge. To find an abundance of animals, head to Blackwater, where players can kill a herd of wild buffalo, or venture across New Austin in search of birds and other animals that can be killed in one shot to save ammo. Try and use a repeater with plenty of bullets, as players will need over 6 shots for this challenge to complete.

1Sharpshooter Challenge #10 – Disarm 6 Enemies Without Reloading or Changing Weapons

Sharpshooter Challenge #10 is one of the hardest challenges inRed Dead Redemption, as it requires players to disarm 6 enemies without reloading or changing their weapons. This challenge can be made easy with the Landon Ricketts Dead Eye ability, and players should begin by heading to Thieves Landing. Since this challenge must be completed on enemies, find gang members in Thieves Landing by pointing your gun at them and waiting for them to become hostile. After, use Dead Eye and aim a large ammo weapon like the Mauser Pistol, Henry Repeater, or Evans Repeater, and shoot at the weapon the enemy holds to disarm them. Repeat this 6 times without reloading or switching weapons, and players should have it in no time, since re-entering Dead Eye will reload ammo without resetting the challenge.

Completing Sharpshooter Challenge #10 will grant players a faster build-up of their Dead Eye meter when they kill enemies.
