The ongoing battle between Captain Flameheart and the Pirate Lord continues inSea of Thieves' Legends Unleashed, a two-week event that sees both sides rallying their forces. The Pirate Lord is calling for defenders of the pirate way of life to unite and strike back against the relentless Flameheart and his growing army of followers, whereas the latter won’t let the attack go unnoticed. Running fromJuly 17 to July 31, there are various ways you may take in the event, whether you’re a dedicated Athena’s Fortune fan or a Reaper through and through who wants to let the flame burn.
Participating in this time-limitedSea of Thievesevent can also net you some neat rewards for your efforts and to mark the occasion. It’s also one not to miss if you’re trying tolevel up your Athena’s Fortune reputationor seek to rise through the ranks of the Reaper’s Bones. How to Take Part in the Legends Unleashed Event
To take part inSea of Thieves' Legends Unleashed event, you’ll need to set sail on the High Seas anytimebetween July 17 to July 31 (10am UTC). Week one of the event is themed around Athena’s Fortune, and week two is themed around the Reaper’s Bones. However, during both weeks of the event, you may completedaily goals for Athena’s Fortuneas found in theevent section of the Pirate Log tab.
It’s not possible to complete daily goals for either Athena’s Fortune or the Reapers as part of the event in Safer Seas.
During week two of the event, from July 24 to July 31, there are alsodaily goals to complete for the Reaper’s Bones.
Legendary Daily Goals for Athena’s Fortune (Legends Unleashed Week One)
Duringweek one of Legends Unleashed, you can completedaily Athena’s Fortune-themed goalsthat unlock each day of the event, one at a time. The nature of each goal varies, but many involve different ways of tracking down and selling Athena’s Fortune treasure. Completing daily Athena’s Fortune-themed goals rewards you withdouble gold and Athena’s Fortune reputationwhen handing treasure in to either the Mysterious Stranger in the tavern or the Sovereigns atanySea of Thievesoutpost, along with Seasonal Renown and Doubloons.
Altogether, there areeightLegendary daily goals in totalto complete once unlocked, as outlined in the table below:
July 18
Fortune Favours the Bold
Unlock aFort of Fortunevault. During the Legends Unleashed event, there is a chance of an Ashen Mega Stash containing an Ashen Chest of Legends appearing in Ashen Mega Stashes Skeleton Fort.
July 19
Light the Way
Use a Skull of Destiny to activate the Fort of the Damned (such as via A Legendary Search for the Skull of Destiny voyage).
Alluring Artifacts
Complete a Legendary Treasure Map Search voyage.
While most of the above goalsrequire you to be a Pirate Legend, any player of any level can findLegendary Messages in Bottle questsinpurple bottles on beachesrandomly throughout the world. These give you treasure maps leading to Athena’s Fortune treasure, with possible Athena loot such as the lucrative Chest of Legends. Look for the purple glint along shorelines to spot these using your spyglass.
Legendary Daily Goals for Reaper’s Resurgence (Legends Unleashed Week Two)
During the second week ofSea of Thieves' Legends Unleashed event from July 24, you can earn double gold and reputation forselling Athena’s Fortune treasure items to the Reapers at the Reapers' Hideout. You can also earn 10x gold and reputation if yousell Athena’s Fortune Emissary Flagsto them.
Additionally, there are alsoeight daily goals to complete for the Reapers' Bones (Reaper’s Gauntlet of Goals) as detailed in the table below, with each unlocking daily from July 24 and varying in nature, such as defeating the Burning Blade or cashing in skulls:

Reaper Readiness
Buy and wear the Reaper’s Bones Costume as a Reaper’s Bones Emissary.
July 25
Break the Seal
Break the Seal on a Chest of Bones obtained as part of the Followers of the Flame Reaper voyage.
July 28
Ritual Rewards
Hand in any skull to the Servant of the Flame (located at the Reaper’s Hideout).
July 29
Unrivalled Reaper
Reach Grade 5 while representing the Reaper’s Bones as an Emissary.
July 30
Loyal Offering
Hand in Reaper Chests and Bounties to the Servant of the Flame.
During the two-week event, Reapers can also still search for Athena Treasure to cash in at the Reaper’s Hideout by finding Legendary Messages in Bottles and completing Skeleton Forts/Forts of Fortune for the chance of Ashen Mega Stashes. However, it’s worth noting that the daily Reaper goals only begin unlocking on July 24.

Victory to the Fortunate Trinket
Complete x3 Legendary Message in a Bottle quests (Legendary Daily Goal).
Victory to the Flame Trinket
Sell x3 Athena’s Fortune treasure items to the Reapers' Bones (Reaper’s Gauntlet of Goals Daily Goal).
Lastly, it’s worth noting you’re able to only unlock the Victory of the Flame Trinket in week 2 of the event when the corresponding daily goal becomes available, plus any pirate of any level can take part in any of the daily Reaper’s Gauntlet of Goals. Players siding with Athena’s Fortune can also continue to earn double gold and reputation throughout the two weeks, whereas Reapers can cash in Athena loot for double gold and reputation during the second week.
