A massive new leak from a credible insider has unveiled fresh details aboutCall of Duty2027, including claims that the popular Get High game mode fromCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 3will supposedly be making a return. The fan-favorite Multiplayer mode was introduced toCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 3back in April 2024, but was initially only available to players for just 4 hours and 20 minutes. It would then go on to make its return on multiple occasions before being permanently added to the game in October 2024.

Unlike pretty much all ofCall of Duty’s other game modes, Get High isn’t about eliminating enemies or completing objectives. Inspired by games likeOnly Up, the mode challenges players to race against each other to reach the top of a vibrant neon platform, combining fast-paced parkour and target shooting along the way. Get High was introduced to celebrate 4/20, hence the short amount of time that it was initially available. However, due to the overwhelming popularity of the mode, developer Sledgehammer Games brought Get High back on numerous different occasions, even adding a new map and unlockable weapon camos. The mode is now available in-game permanently.

This week,Call of Dutyleaker and industry insiderTheGhostOfHoperevealed a ton of new details about the series' 2027 installment, which is reportedly being helmed by Sledgehammer Games. Among the tons of details was a claim thatModern Warfare 3’s popular Get High game modewill return inCall of Duty2027. Very little about the mode’s potential return was revealed, such as whether or not it will include a new map and features, but given the fact that the title is being developed by Sledgehammer Games (the studio behind 2023’sModern Warfare 3), Get High’s return wouldn’t be much of a surprise.

Get High Could Return to Call of Duty in 2027

It’s worth noting that Activision still has to get therelease ofCall of Duty: Black Ops 7and next year’s entry out of the way before 2027 rolls around, which means plans could always change before the game’s release. With two years left to go before Sledgehammer Games releases its 2027Call of Dutygame, the title will still be in the early stages of development. This means certain modes, maps, features, and more could always be scrapped if they are not that far into development and any issues arise.

But, with that being said, we have seenCall of Dutyleaks in the past that have come to fruition after being revealed years beforehand. Back in 2023, aCall of Dutyinsider revealed thatBlack Ops 7would have direct ties toBlack Ops 2,which we now know to be the case as developer Treyarch Studios has confirmed the shooter will be a direct sequel set in the year 2035. There’s still plenty for Treyarch to unveil, but the leak also claimed thatBlack Ops 7will feature tons of remastered Multiplayer maps from 2012’sBlack Ops 2, including fan favorites such as Express, Raid, Standoff, and many more.

The claims of remastered Multiplayer maps have yet to be verified, but fans won’t have to wait much longer to find out Ops 7, as a full worldwide reveal is set to take place during Gamescom Opening Night Live on August 19.
