A new rumor suggests that developer Retro Studios will be moving on to start development onMetroid Prime 5soon, which is an exciting tease consideringMetroid Prime 4: Beyondhas yet to be released. TheMetroidaction-adventure series began back in 1986 with Nintendo at the helm, following bounty hunter Samus Aran, who fights on behalf of the galaxy against Space Pirates. The IP has released 11 main games, 12 including the upcomingMetroid Prime 4: Beyond, and plenty of spin-off titles, such asMetroid Prime Pinball.

Metroid Prime 4was officially announced at E3 2017, and sees the return of Samus using psychic powers on the planet Viewros against rival bounty hunter Sylux. With only a 2025 window to go by,predictions are rolling in forMetroid Prime 4: Beyond’s release date, and October is likely not the month to avoidPokemon Legends: Z-A, which is also in Nintendo’s catalog. TheMetroidtitle is confirmed to be launching on both the original Switch and the Nintendo Switch 2.
