The Rockstar Games Social Club has been a social tie-in website that allows users to view a number of stats, player profiles, videos, and more for the majority ofRockstar Games studioreleases, withGTA 4’s DLC,Max Payne 3,L.A. Noire,GTA 5and itsOnlinecomponent,Red Dead Redemption 2and itsOnlinemode, andGTA: The Trilogy - The Definitive Editionall having utilized the service. However, it seems that it’s now defunct, and only a portion of its features have been carried over.

As reported by videotechuk_, the Rockstar Games Social Club now redirects to the standard Rockstar Games homepage. At the time of publication, a number of features are no longer available as a result, including the ability to look at player profiles, walls, and both shared screenshots and videos. However, not everything is missing. Players of Rockstar Games titles can still access theirGTAcrewsvia theGTA Onlinewebsite, and game progress completion can be viewed via the standard Rockstar Games site. Players can also still view their friends lists, but no in-depth details about the individual users.

Rockstar Games Social Club Shutdown Has Been Hinted At

While this change may seem abrupt, especially since Rockstar hasn’t made an official announcement about it,Rockstar Games Social Club has seemingly been approaching its endsince late 2023. On June 21, 2025, the site received an update that removed nearly all references to the Social Club. While the basic information remained the same, the wording was changed, altering things like “Social Club members” to “Rockstar Games members” and “Social Club account” was instead referred to as “Rockstar Games account.” Considering over a year has passed since, though, some may not have expected the full shutdown to happen at this time.

Chances are that Rockstar has plans to create a new platform that will be tied intoGrand Theft Auto 6when it releases. While this change is the end of an era for Rockstar Games and its fans, numerous players seem pleased to see the company move away from the Social Club.
