Back in the early 2010s, developer Majong entered discussions with LEGO to produce a crossover video game, but Majong disagreed with the brand restrictions put in place by the toy company, so development on the title was terminated. WhileBrickcraftnever officially came to be, LEGO andMinecrafthave collaborated on a number of physical LEGO sets, including various minifigures and item pieces. As such, it should come as no surprise that the playableprototypebuild found by Omniarchive is already picking up steam among onlineMinecraftand LEGO communities.

BothMinecraftand LEGO have amassed impressive fandoms over the years, and many may wonder why the two juggernauts have never come back to the table to start fresh negotiations for a powerhouse video game collaboration. Some argue that theFortniteLEGO mode collaborationhas put the possibility of aMinecraftLEGO crossover into a state of limbo, though it would not be unheard of for a toy brand like LEGO to branch out with multiple gaming team-ups. It is presently unknown if an officialMinecraftLEGO game will ever be fully realized, leaving players to either optimistically wait it out or try their hand with the uncovered prototype build.
