These cards will debut on July 30 with therelease of Wisdom of Sea and Sky, the fourth main expansion ofPokemon TCG Pocket. Focusing primarily on Gen 2 Pokemon, Wisdom of Sea and Sky will feature over 200 cards: some of them are already known to players, and include ex cards of Lugia, Ho-Oh, Espeon, and Umbreon, as well as four trainer cards. There will be quite a bit for thePokemon TCG Pocketcommunity to enjoy when the next expansion drops, especially for hoarders.

Pokemon TCG Pocketwill feature two booster packs with the release of Wisdom of Sea and Sky, so players who have hoarded Hourglasses will be able to get even more cards. Previously, it was only possible to open one booster pack with the release of theEevee Grove miniset, but this time there will be two—one themed around Lugia and the other around Ho-Oh. It’s important to note that while this information is confirmed, thePokemon TCG Pocketcommunity still doesn’t know which cards will be in each pack.

What to Expect from the Release of the New Pokemon TCG Pocket Set, Wisdom of Sea and Sky

With a focus on Johto pocket monsters, players can expect cards featuring Chikorita, Cyndaquil, and Totodile, as well as other monsters from the region such as Xatu, Wooper, Ampharos, and Wobbuffet. Another highlight of the upcomingPokemon TCG Pocketexpansion will be the debut ofbaby Pokemoncards such as Pichu and Cleffa, as these little critters were introduced with the release of the second-generation games. Some of these cards are already known, and include a Togepi and Pichu with full illustrations by Terada Tera and Kanami Ogata, respectively.

In addition to new cards, the release of Wisdom of Sea and Sky confirms apreviousPokemon TCG Pocketleakand will bring significant changes to the trading system. The wish list feature will let players highlight the cards they are looking for, facilitating trade with other community members. They will be able to convert their Trade Tokens for Shinedust, which will become the new currency for trades and Hourglasses Packs. The in-game store will also receive new accessories: a binder cover and a two-card display board with an illustration depicting a battle between Lugia and Ho-Oh.
