Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocketplayers are frustrated with the Sneak Peek event. Every day, players open booster packs in an attempt to obtain the most coveted cards. To help with this grind, the devs added the Sneak Peek as a regularPokemon TCG Pocketevent that lets players preview a Wonder Pick card.
Wonder Pick allows players to select one of five cards that other users have obtained byopening aPokemon TCG Pocketbooster pack. To make a Wonder Pick, they must spend Wonder Stamina, with the amount of stamina spent being proportional to the rarity of the cards in the selection. However, players still need to be lucky to get the card they want most, and because of this, it is not uncommon for the community to complain that the odds are “rigged.” To help,Pokemon TCG Pockethas the Sneak Peek, but this event is leaving players frustrated.
On thePokemon TCG Pocketsubreddit, user Express-Media-1645 expressed their frustration that Sneak Peek is not available 100% of the time while the event is live. To illustrate the reason for their dissatisfaction, they shared a screenshot of one of their Wonder Picks in which they picked up a Sableye card and missed out on a rainbow Dragonite ex. This card was introduced with the release of theEevee Grove miniset, and the variant that the OP failed to pick features a rare special illustration created by Mori Yuu showing the Kanto Pokemon flying alongside balloons.
Pokemon TCG Pocket Players Question the Usefulness of the Sneak Peek Event
While the Sneak Peek event allows players to view a Wonder Pick card, there is a catch: these Sneak Peeks appear randomly, without any specific criteria. As a result, there is no guarantee that the feature will be activated every time aPokemon TCG Pocketplayer makes a Wonder Pick. Other Redditors reacted with over 5,000 upvotes and nearly 300 comments sharing their opinions. Most players agreed with Express-Media-1645’s statement, with one of them defining Sneak Peek as “RNG on top of RNG.”
In addition to considering Sneak Peek to be of little use, a second Redditor noted that for them, it feels like the higher rarity cards “disappear” from Wonder Pick while the event is active. DeNA has not yet addressed the community’s feedback on Sneak Peek, but continues to actively work to keepPokemon TCG Pocketan engaging experience with recurring updates. With that, players hope that this issue will be addressed at some point, possiblymaking Sneak Peek a permanent featureand improving how it works.
