The July 2025 Pokemon Presents direct was held today, and despite a short duration of just over 24 minutes,Pokemon Legends: Z-Awas the star of the show and got the most amount of screen time. Considering thatPokemon Legends: Z-Ais coming out in just under three months, it makes sense to talk more about it in the wake of many leaks and only a handful of short trailers before today. The game promises to offer some interesting content, between the rogue Mega Evolutions found in Lumiose City and its signature battle royale. New Mega Evolutions are going to be a big part of the experience, and while only Mega Dragonite was shown, 25 more Megas are secretly in the trailer.

Mega Dragonite is probably one of the safest bets when it comes to which new Megas should be shown, and the reason is that it is a Gen 1 critter with a lot of fans and years of vocal requests for a Mega Evolution or other forms.Pokemon Legends: Z-A’s Mega Dragoniteretains its Dragon/Flying type combination, but it gets a new design with angel-like wings on its head, shoulders, and heels, all while sporting an orb at the end of its tail reminiscent of Dragonair. This essentially confirms the leaks aboutPokemon Legends: Z-A, proving correct all remaining 25 Mega Evolutions.

How Pokemon Legends: Z-A’s Mega Dragonite Reveals 25 More Mega Evolutions

Mega Dragonite matches its leaked description to a T, to the point that several fans made art of it based on its leaked characteristics and got a final result that is very close to the actual Pokemon.Pokemon Legends: Z-A’s leaked Mega Evolutionscomprise a lot of critters from different generations, including a few unexpected entries, and since they all come from the same source, including their designs, Mega Dragonite confirms all of them in one fell swoop. The list includes:

Considering that Mega Dragonite’s in-game appearance is identical to the leaked description, there’s a fair chance that most of the other Mega Evolutions will be perfect matches for their descriptions once they are revealed in the game. Some details may change, depending on what may be lost in translation with the original leaks or flawed descriptions on the source’s part. Still, this means that fans will get aMega Evolution for Chandelure, Gen 6 starters, and other popular critters.

Still, it may be disappointing to some fans that this confirms that noMega Evolution for Flygon inPLZAwill be present, despite how vocal fans have been about this over the years, especially seeing how it was supposed to get one that eventually was scrapped. This holds true for another Mega, though, as leaks indicate that Mega Zeraora was supposed to come out with the game, but was scrapped before full development on it started.

What follows is that, save for last-minute changes not included in the leaks,Pokemon Legends: Z-Awill feature 26 new Mega Evolutions, including the Mega Dragonite revealed today. This is not necessarily set in stone, given the volatile nature of leaks and the fact that they mostly happened early this year, but with Mega Dragonite matching its leaked description, there is little room for speculation about Mega Evolutions inPLZA.
