Pokemon GOhas seemingly teased Quaxly as the Community Day Pokemon for July 2025. While there has technically been no official confirmation about Quaxly as the star of the next monthlyPokemon GOCommunity Day, which is scheduled for July 20, the game’s social media team hasn’t been very subtle in its latest tease, all but completely revealing the Paldean starter.
Fans of the Pokemon franchise were first introduced to Quaxly in 2022 when he debuted as the Water-type starter of the Paldea region. While there have been several polls conducted by various outlets around the internet, Quaxly may be theleast popular starter inPokemon Scarlet and Violet, but that hasn’t stopped the little duckling’s fans from celebrating its likely inclusion in July’sPokemon GOmonthly event.
In a new post on Twitter, the game’s social media team previewed the next Community Day Pokemon with eye and water wave emojis, along with a brief, six-second video. Nothing in the post specifically states that Quaxly will be the upcoming featured Pokemon, but after a pair of blue, webbed feet attached to a rounder white lower body hopped into view, Quaxly’s reveal became obvious to most fans viewing the post. It’s the last Paldean starter to get its own special event this year, as aSprigatito Community Daykicked off the year in January and a Fuecoco event was held in March.
Pokemon GO Upcoming Community Day Dates and Featured Pokemon
The July Community Day reveal has caused a little bit of confusion among the player base for a couple of reasons. Some have been expecting to see Gen 8 regional bird Rookidee in Quaxly’s place. However, Rookidee has actually beenconfirmed asPokemon GO’s Community Day Pokemon for August 2025. This decision was the result of a Community Day poll held on the game’s official YouTube channel earlier in June, in which Rookidee swept the competition by collecting 77 percent of the vote, leaving competitors Wimpod, Frillish, and Lechonk fighting over the remainder. Rookidee’s Community Day is scheduled for June 15, 2025, starting at 2 p.m. local time.
But even before Quaxly takes center stage, there is another special annual event that will place Eevee in the spotlight.Pokemon GO’s two-day summer Community Day Classic eventtakes place from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. local time on both July 5 and July 6. Any Eevee caught or hatched during the special event period will automatically learn the charged move Last Resort, while all eight of its various evolutions will come equipped with their own special charged attack. Additionally, the Community Day Classic event will include special bonuses like one-quarter egg-hatching distance and longer durations for lure modules and incense.
