Pokemon GO Fossil Research Day August 2025 Event Guide
InPokemon GO,the 2025 Fossil Research Day eventwill be available for players to participate in betweenAugust 2, 2025, at 2 PM local time, and June 23, 2025, at 5 PM local time. This is a one-day event that lasts just a few hours, so players who wish to get the most out of this opportunity should look to familiarize themselves with the event and prepare in advance.
During Fossil Research Day, players will have an increased chance of encountering the followingFossil Pokemonas wild spawns:

In addition to this, players will also have the chance to findencounters with both Tyrunt and Amauraby completing Field Research Tasks or Timed Research. The paid Timed Research costs players approximately $2.00 USD, and lets them find additional encounters with these Pokemon. The Timed Research will need to be completed and any claimable rewards snagged by August 2, at 5 PM, when the event concludes. Lastly, during the Fossil Research Day event, all players have anincreased chance of encountering shiny Tyrunt or shiny Amaura, making these research encounters a nice opportunity for Trainers to try and take advantage of theselucky shiny odds.
