Pokemon GOis adding a brand-new Hisuian form to the game with its upcoming July event, introducing one of the most popular Hisuian variants to the mobile game. The massively popular monster-catching mobile game has introduced a plethora of different creatures for players to capture throughout the nearly ten years since its debut. Niantic has frequently added new Pokemon toPokemon GO, with the developer hinting at Eternatus being added to the game later this year. Now, Hisuian Pokemon are set to highlight one of the next events coming to the game.
Summer looks to be a busy time forPokemon GOthis year, with lots of exciting events on the way throughout the next couple months.Pokemon GOwill feature multiple “Spotlight Hours” centered around specific Pokemon in July, with fan-favorite Pokemon like Pikachu, Jigglypuff, and Feebas appearing throughout the month. Niantic also announced the “Max Finale” event attached to the 2025Pokemon GOFest,includingSword and ShieldLegendaries Zacian and Zamazentain their Crowned forms. Now, a new event in early July is set to bring a fan-favorite Hisuian form.

Pokemon GOofficially announced the new “Ultra Unlock” event on Monday, putting the spotlight on multiple different Hisuian forms. The event will introduce Hisuian Zorua and its evolution, Hisuian Zoroark, toPokemon GOfor the first time, with fans able to use 50 Zorua candy toevolve their Hisuian Zorua.Pokemon GOwill also feature increased encounter rates for several Pokemon native to the Hisui region, including the Hisuian variants of Qwilfish and Voltorb. The event will also feature the return of “space-time anomalies,” featuring “different Pokemon” appearing than the usual spawns.

The “Ultra Unlock” event will also come with plenty of perks for players alongside the plethora of special Pokemon appearing. The event will be coupled withPokemon GO’s typical temporary boosts to XP and Stardust for capturing Pokemon, alongside increased chances to find shiny variants of the featured Hisuian Pokemon.Pokemon GOwill also introduce multiple featured Pokemon for raids during the events, including even moreHisuian variants of Pokemon like Sneaseland Growlithe. Ultra Unlock will kick off inPokemon GOon July 8 and is set to run through July 13.
