Panther (AKA Ann Takamaki) is a powerful addition to anyPersona 5: The Phantom Xteam, but her Phantom Thief skills are focused on the Sweeper role, meaning she is ideal for dealing tons of damage to various enemies through powerful AoE attacks. Ann’s Persona Carmen has the Fire Alignment, so expect lots of Burning effects and fiery follow-ups that land powerful hits on burning targets.

All Phanter Skills & Passives in Persona 5 The Phantom X
Ann is one ofthe most powerful Phantom ThievesinPersona 5: The Phantom X, and a Sweeper: and AoE specialized damage dealer that can nuke entire enemy teams and cause the Burning Ailment on them.
Panther Awareness skill isPassion, which causes Ann to gain 1 Stack each time she deals Fire Damage with Skills. When reaching 4 Stacks of Passion, Ann gainsLa Vie en Rose, which increases Ann’s total Attack by 30% (40% at level 50, and 50% at level 70) for 1 turn, and triggers other powerful effects from Ann’s attacks during combat.
Panther (Ann) Passive La Vie en Rose triggers automatically if she causes Weakened to all foes, since this will trigger One More, and grants her 4 Stacks of Passion in the first turn. Leveling up Ann’s Skills can grant this buff faster, soremember to level her Persona Skills.
Panther’s Persona (Carmen) has some serious AoE Nukes that players can combine with lots of Fire Damage buff characters, such as Key, and Wonder equipped with Fire Damage boosters like Hell Biker and Lamia. Here’s a list of all her active and passive skills, and their effects:
Best Panther Weapons In Persona 5 The Phantom X
Rosethornis the preferred weapon for Panther, which players should aim to get using the Weapon Contracts Gacha, though it’s really difficult to get one since the RNG doesn’t always work in their favor. The important detail about this weapon is itsPyre of Loveeffect, which increases Fire damage by 24.2%. When ‘La Vie En Rose’ is active, it inflicts Burn on 1 random foe. Increases Fire damage by 25.5% for each foe suffering fromthe Burning status ailment, up to a maximum of 76%. Players can also obtain Rosethorn by completing Lufel’s Business Plan II (steps 1 to 7) which grants a 5-Star Weapon Pick up box.
Masquerade Ribbonis another good alternative, but it’s a 4-Star weapon, so its benefits are inferior to Rosethorn. Players can access this weapon by purchasing it from the Airsoft Shop Supplier for 10 Gecko Coins. Masquerade Ribbon augments Attack by 12%, and when attacking a foe who suffers from Burning, it will increase attack by 23.7% (base percentage increases with each level of Weapon Forging).
Players can focus up to 3 5-Star Weapons in the Weapon Contract Gacha, ensuring a 50% chance to get another desired top-tier weapon when they Pull a 5-Star. Make sure to have Ann’s Rosethorn focused when the Gacha meter reaches 60/70, so that the next time, when there’s a guaranteed 5-Star Draw, Rosethorn has a 50% chance to be pulled.
Best Panther Revelations Cards
Strife and Acceptanceare the ideal combination of Mind/Revelation Cards for Panther in P5X, with Strife’s Set increasing Fire Damage Dealt by 10%, Attack by 15%, and dealing 15% increased damage to enemies weak to the Fire element, and the Acceptance Mind Card combo effect which increases damage by 8% for each enemy on the field, for a total of 40% while facing 5 enemies. This combo grants Panther the most effective damage-focused boost, ensuring that each of Ann’s AoE attacks destroy whatever steps on the team’s way.
The Mind CardAcceptancecan be obtained byplaying the Nightmare’s Gateway challengeand exchanging Companio Coins in the shop (after joining a Companio, that is), whileStrife Revelationcardscan be obtained through the exchange of Random Revelation Cards in the Cognition Shop (using Clear Cognigems) or by participating in theRealms of Repression Revelation - Words of Feuds.
Revelation Cards are more powerful in their Gold (Yellow) versions, but if players don’t have the full set in the same quality, they can still enjoy the same set benefits, no matter the quality of the Cards. What changes is the overall stats these cards grant while equipped. Make sure to have them leveled up to get the best possible results during combat.
Power and Growthare an alternative to thepreviously mentioned Revelations Set, since it increases Attack by 12%, and then increases an extra 10% to the attack every 6 turns up to 30%. Meanwhile, the Growth Mind Card will increase the maximum stacks of buffs by 5, and more buffs on Ann mean more damage. This effect is ideal when havingLeo Kamiyamaas Panther’s main support, since he can overbuff her, granting up to 100% increased damage (+ a solid boost according to Kamiyama’s own Attack damage) thanks to his Ultima Booster/Power of Friendship buff combo.
Growthcan be obtained by completingStep 6 of the Business Plan II. On the other hand, Power Revelationcardscan be obtained through the exchange of Random Revelation Cards in the Cognition Shop (using Clear Cognigems) or by participating in theRealms of Repression Revelation - Words of Ruling.
Best Panther Team Composition in P5X
As mentioned before, the ideal team for Panther in P5X includesWonder with Fire Damage boosting Personaslike Lamia, Hell Biker, and Queen Mab. Pairing this withKey, whose main job will be to apply a constant Burning effect on the enemy team, boosting Ann’s Passives and damage over Burning Foes. AddingOkyannto the team as an Elucidator (a non-attacker supporter that grants buffs to the team every few turns).
Key’sChosen OnePassive ability grants a stack of Fire Damage buff to the whole party each time he causes Burning on the enemy team. Each Burning enemy grants a certain number of Chosen One stacks, depending on the attack Key uses. Crimson Summon is the most effective one, since it deals damage to all foes, and also causes burning to the whole enemy team, guaranteeing at least 1 stack of Chosen One per turn.
If players want to go full offensive, they should pickLeo Kamiyamaas their main supporter, since he has a kit that overbuffs and generates shield on a designated Partner during combat, in exchange for chipping away a percentage of the ally’s health. This is a high-risk/high-reward strategy, which maximizes Panther’s damage and takes it over the charts, empowering critical hits by up to 30%.
Kamiyama’s risky buff grants a shield based on his overall damage, by taking 30% of the target’s health in exchange for an 80%+Leo’s total damage percentage. If this shield survives up to the next turn, the buffed party member receives healing equal to 100% of the Shield’s value, plus the Power of Friendship buff, and an extra damage buff. This can make Ann’s attack not only excell in overall damage, but also boost her critical power, creating an excellent synergy.
For a mild/risk strategy with much less damage output,pick Soy(Shun Kano) that can boost the whole team’s defenses and moderately heal/shield them each turn. Soy is also a great tank, able to draw in the enemies aggro and reducing the Team’s overall aggro generation, making them unlikely to be attacked. This is a great help for Panther since she is a Glass Cannon type, with extremely high damage and one of the lowest HP/Defense ratios of all Phantom Thieves.
Finally,Lufelis another great partner for Ann thanks to his abilities to heal the team and buff them at the same time. Especially hisHighlight, which heals the whole team and increases its damage for 1 turn. This abilitycan be improved by Awakening Lufel, and each time players get a Lufel Badge by drawing him on the Gacha Game, they can boost his overall supporter skills. Lufel can also cause Burning usingOwl Fire, triggering Ann’s damage boost against Burning Foes.
