PEAKis not just about climbing. If you want to make it off the island, you’ve got to deal with more than just steep ledges.Things like frost, fog, and hunger can make your climb way harder. One thing to watch out for is hunger. When your character gets hungry, their stamina starts to drop, which makes climbing even harder. If you want to keep climbing strong, you’ve got to eat and keep it in check.
There are a bunch of items scouts can eat inPEAK, from packaged snacks to things like coconuts you find around the island. But not everything is safe. Some foods will help you, while others might cause problems for you. This guide will help you figure out which foods to trust and which ones to stay away from during yourPEAKclimb.

Button Shrooms, Bugle Shrooms, and Cluster Shrooms have both safe and poisonous variants.
Food comes in two main types: forageables and packaged items. Packaged items like Granola Bars and Trail Mix are always safe to eat. Fans can find them in luggage scattered around the island. Early on, you can also grab things like coconuts straight from trees, which makes them really useful whenyou are just starting out. But you will need to be careful because some mushrooms and berries can be toxic. If you’re not sure what’s safe, you can check out ourguide on identifying toxic food inPEAK.
You can also cook food inPEAKto make it restore more stamina. For example, a raw coconut won’t give you as much energy as a cooked one. Players can cook at campfires or with a portable stove, both of which are easy to use.
One thing to keep in mind is that if something is poisonous, cooking it won’t fix it. It will still be poisonous. And if you accidentally burn your food, eating it can give you poison damage, so try not to overcook. If players do get poisoned, they canuse the Faerie Lanternto clear it.
