Palworld’s open-world survival mechanics have given many fans opportunities to explore and make bonds with Pals that can help them build their base and fight strong monsters. With the recent Tides of Terraria update (v.0.6.0),Palworldhas opened up more adventures with new characters straight out ofTerraria.

A notableTerraria-inspired raid boss is Moon Lord, a Cthulhu-like enemy that drops powerful weapons, gear, and consumable items when defeated. On the one hand, it’s exciting to challenge such a formidable foe inPalworld’s Tides of Terraria update. However, Moon Lord is also missing one notable reward compared to other raid bosses: a Pal egg.

Palworld’s Missed Its Opportunity to Give Moon Lord a Pal Egg

Palworldis known for its monster-collecting mechanics, which allow players to use Pal Spheres to capture any Pal they encounter on the field. In the case of powerful raid bosses, they cannot be caught, but they can be incubated and hatched through a Pal egg.

The majority ofPalworld’sraid bossesdrop Pal eggs as rewards, especially if they are beaten within the 10-minute limit. Once players receive them, they can be placed in the Egg Incubator and hatched into powerful new Pals that will be their new allies in combat and/or in gathering resources.

Palworld Raid Bosses that Drop Pal Eggs

As mentioned, Moon Lord from the Tides of Terraria update doesn’t drop Pal eggs, which is a shame for players who might have wanted to recruit the powerful creature into their roster.Moon Lord isTerraria’s ultimate endgame boss, and it would have been interesting ifPalworldallowed fans to control this monster, especially considering how strong he is as a raid boss. Plus, the Tides of Terraria update isPalworld’s first major IP collaboration, so a notable Pal addition like this would be welcome. He would have been a cool catch as well because of his spooky Cthulhu-inspired appearance, which is thematically different from other Pals.

InTerraria, Moon Lord can be summoned bydefeating the Celestial Pillarsor by using the Celestial Sigil. He’s known for executing complicated attacks coming from his hands and eyes, so players must attack these body parts, as well as the core in his chest. Similar toPalworld’s Tides of Terraria, defeating Moon Lord inTerrariarewards players with a wide range of loot, like a Portal Gun, Meowmere, and Star Wrath.

On the bright side, the potential rewards after beating Moon Lord are worth the effort, like a Legendary-tier Meowmere Sword and Moon Lord Mask. Players can also getAncient Civilization Coresand Ancient Civilization Parts, which they can use to build various structures on their base, and other valuable crafting materials.
