AnOverwatch 2glitch in Season 17 is letting heroes select three or even four Perks during their matches. While this bug will almost certainly be patched quickly, these extra Perks are currently causing some issues in the latestOverwatch 2update.

Recently,Overwatch 2Season 17 went live, bringing with it a bunch of big changes to the game. In addition to a Battle Pass refresh and the first-ever dual Mythic skin launch, fans can enjoy the Aatlis Flashpoint map for CoreOverwatch 2, three new heroes in Stadium, and tons of hero balance adjustments for both game modes.

However, there appears to be a game-breaking glitch in the update that players should be aware of. Since Season 17 began, some have reported characters in their games with three or even four Perks.Overwatch 2fan and Redditor Stanners14 was one such player, who went to the Practice Range and discovered that the interface allowed them to choose both perks at each tier if the buttons were pressed in rapid succession.

This is obviously not an intentional change. Perks are powerful modifiers that can reshape how each hero plays, with some even transforming certain abilities completely. A singleOverwatch 2hero can usually only select one Minor and Major Perk, so being able to get all four at once could create some truly imbalanced situations in a match, especially if only certain characters benefit from it.

Given the severity of this bug, players can expectOverwatch 2to squash it soon. In the meantime, players should be careful about trying to replicate the glitch – especially inCompetitive Play inOverwatch 2– as it could lead to them getting in trouble by Blizzard for exploiting it.

This glitch wasn’t the only hiccup fromOverwatch 2Season 17. Many fans have reported queues as big as 20,000 players when trying to log in after the update went live, patch sizes upwards of 37 gigabytes on Xbox, and other similar issues. Blizzard is undoubtedly working to resolve these problems as quickly as they can, but it may not be a bad idea for players to giveOverwatch 2some time to sort everything out.

While they wait,Overwatch 2fans can score two Loot Boxes as Twitch Dropsfrom now through July 6. Simply watching five hours of any streamer in theOverwatch 2category during the time period and claiming the items from their Twitch inventory will deliver these Loot Boxes to their clients so that they are ready to be opened once players are able to log in.
